the internet buzz over her album since the leakage has been phenomenal, therefore a number one entry comes hardly as a surprise.

I feel like everyone I know loves this album regardless of musical taste. It's going to be fucking massive.

Finally listening to it. G O O D!

It is like The Pierces exploded and finally made the thing i expected from them since 13teen tales.
Lana is as genuine as Adele. Though my legs are laying still for them. Bed songs.

The ones don't recognize the similiraties between Adele and Lana should get a reality check. The sound, the voice (I mean 'soul-whispering' vibe and more, they are alike in a certain way), depression.

Something in pop have been crawling around for years and here it is on the top of the mountain.

Tired of Guetta and Just Dance

Lana Del Rey's just-released "Born To Die" album is on track to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart next week. The set will perhaps sell between 60,000 to 70,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Feb. 5 -- so say industry prognosticators.

MUCH better than SNL:

Every so often she opens up her voice a little bit; you can tell this girl has a much bigger voice than she lets on, she could belt it out no problem. (But her music doesn't call for it, so so be it,)

It's still weak though. I have to say I love the album, despite some cringeful lyrics

Yeah, sure! I'm not a big lyrics person anyway. Unless they're atrocious, I don't usually mind. I'm more melody/vocal/production really.

The album is straight in at #1 in the official Irish charts!

Video Games is Top 10 and Born To Die is just outside.

Can we pretend this is Madonna's album and weep?

A serious album like this, that doesn't have any notable potential at US Top 40 radio, really is Madonna's only option for the next album after MDNA. Let's just hope she realizes it.
