wtf is this shit?
Just more "Beyonce trying desperately hard to appear edgy and cool, without actually bothering to write a tune" drivel.

Now all the delays kinda explained. Just imagine this shit premiering at the Super bowl or...Grammys :chuckle: :chuckle:

That neverending rap... I want that shit to fucking flop. Truly. :voodoo:

Feels like a bunch of losers like Timbaland being ingnored by charts in the last years just convinced labels that EDM is over, and lets bring back RnB! The old one, nothing new.
This is not how it works. Even though JT and Bey can succeed with it, its more of 'we love them so much NO MATTER what they bring' thing.

...which it will, rest assured. If it ever gets released as a single, that is.

It's trap! I adore it, both because it's batshit crazy and because it should be subtitled 'Dear Rihanna'. But I also adore Run The World. Urban music is making a comeback, I can't wait until ARTPOP gets renamed to TRAPPOP

It seems like ppl talking theres two snippets from two different songs. The last part with Bey's rapping is part of the actual first single. So its not a song, but whatever...

Actually neither are the single, apparently the single is Timbaland produced and will be released next week. These are just teasers. I'm just glad Beyonce is not into doing a Sasha Fierce II and just wants to be batshit crazy instead. The production on I Been On is AMAZING.

Its good, but basically just one sample repeated over and over and over. Classic Timba.

Timbaland said on Twitter he's never heard of this song though, the lead single will be him but I think it's an entirely different track. These are just 'hype' tracks.

He said that about Bow Down. The second snippet is his, as I understood.

I find it kind of sad when I hear people praising this sort of "song". Remember when great pop music actually had to have a tune? This sort of drivel is so profoundly...empty. Just because it's "crazy" doesn't mean it's any good. It truly is the lowest form of music.

I'll take crazy over Justin's dirgey equivalent of sonic wallpaper anyday. It's just a hype track. Let's wait for the single before decrying the end of music as we know it.

I'll take a melody and actual lyrics and vocals over this crap any day. JT's album is a masterclass compared to this ghetto *shit.*

Still the album could be good. Remember JTs singles being the most horrible parts of a really good album. That probably could happen again.

The lyrics mostly is about her back to..music, so prob this is just a choice based on lyrics, and the best parts of the songs still can amaze us. Trying to be positive, but its fuckin hard...

'Bow down bitches,' muses Beyoncé on this brilliantly odd first taster from her forthcoming fifth album

While Beyoncé has flirted with her more aggressive side on her B'Day album and I Am's Diva, she has never sounded quite as deliciously unhinged as on Bow Down, the Hit-Boy-produced first half of what seems to be two interludes squashed together. "

While clearly not single material, both Bow Down and I Been On are interesting enough to move the focus back to the fact that Beyoncé is really good at this being-a-pop-star lark.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2013/mar/18/beyonce-bow-down-i-been-on

A day after Beyoncé posted the manic, Hit Boy-produced manifesto "Bow Down/I Been On" to her Soundcloud page, it's still unclear what this thing actually is. A single? A demo? Two half-songs stitched together? It's impossible to get your footing in the track itself; it begins with a trap-inflected beat and Beyoncé in full-on stiletto-stomp mode ("I took some time to live my life/But don't think I'm just his little wife…Bow down, bitches"), then not a minute and a half in, it does a complete Jekyll & Hyde. The "I Been On" half of the song feels like some kind of (curiously unprompted) attempt to reassert her cred-- Mrs. Carter (yes, that's her, rapping in a voice that's been pitch shifted down about an octave below her husband's) starts shouting out Pimp C, repping Houston, reminding us that she was in a Willie D video "when she was about 14." It's not hard to imagine the reaction of Beyoncé's recent target demographic-- the Oprah-watching, inauguration-attending Superbowl fan; in a phrase, "Joe Biden"-- will have to this song: what the fuck?

And yet, can something totally fail as a single and still manage to be a hugely exciting harbinger of what's around the corner? As Beyoncé has reminded us before, yes. "Bow Down/I Been On" is exhilaratingly strange-- the way it muddles the line between the masculine and feminine feels almost as bold as Nicki Minaj's gender bending "Come On A Cone." For some artists, singing for the president, landing a prime-time, soft-lit Oprah interview and becoming a mom (bow down, birthers) might be an occasion to settle into safer artistic choices. But the menacing "Bow Down/I Been On" feels less like a single than an omen. Ring the alarm: the Queen is plotting her return, and it's going to get weird.

Found this comment on PJ forum, can't say better.

"To think that we were complaining Madonna didn't promote. Bey won't even release."

And you can tease fans with this shit.
But seriously, there's smth good. Should be. Even non-hits '4' was good. It shouldn't be worse than 4.
