Using their baby to try and make even MORE money???? :megamanson:

Beyonce and Jay-Z lose court battle to trademark daughter's name

The couple wanted to trademark 'Blue Ivy' to start a line of baby products

Hip-hop's golden couple wanted to trademark the name 'Blue Ivy' to launch a line of baby products shortly after the birth of their first child in January 2012, Boston Fox reports.

However, the owner of the Blue Ivy Events company based in Boston was forced to defend the name in court. Last week (Tuesday 16), a judge sided with the owner in defending her trademark, meaning that the Carters now have no legal right to the name.

Last week, Beyonce confirmed that she will be appearing at the Super Bowl halftime show after posting a picture of her face with the Super Bowl date stuck to her cheeks alongside the words 'Countdown to Touchdown'.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z and Beyonce have been on the campaign trail supporting US president Barack Obama's re-election bid. Not only did the pair host a $40,000 per ticket fundraiser at the rapper's 40/40 Club, raising $4m for the campaign, Jay-Z has appeared in one of his campaign videos.

The president also revealed he'd been dishing out parenting advice to the couple.

I'm pretty sure that is hugely untrue. Bruce Springsteen? Prince? Paul McCartney? The Rolling Stones? I think not.

Classic rock vocalists and acts like Prince almost always sound good live, very similar to the records. They are far more consistent than pop singers.

Fergie "sang" live. (Animal mating calls is a better description.)

I did sort of wonder if that disastrous BEP show made the network/the NFL demand that Madonna mime her set. I know I'd be hesitant to give another pop singer a live mic after that shit.

For all the praise he gets, MJ mimed more lyrics than Milli Vanilli.

Speaking of Half-Time shows, this really is just... awful:

And of course all the comments under the video are anti-Madonna ramblings from MJ loons.

Beyonce Will 'Definitely' Release New Music Before Super Bowl, Says The-Dream

Beyonce's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, taking place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 3, 2013, will be preceded by new music, according to her frequent collaborator The-Dream.
If Beyonce releases new music before her Super Bowl performance, she would be following a strategy taken by Madonna, who released the single "Give Me All Your Luvin'" two days before performing the song along with a medley of hits at the halftime ceremony last February. Less than two months after the Super Bowl, Madonna released a new studio album, "MDNA," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 359,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"She's already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out," he says. "I'm sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here."

I'm sure she'll use the platform to launch her new single/era like Madge did. Let's just hope she learns from Madonna's mistake and actually picks a GOOD first single.

#1 Twelve Roses
Stargate
Furler, Hermansen, Eriksen, Beyonce

Pounding pop, mid-tempo ballad.

#2 Title (featuring male singer)
The Cataracs, The Stereotypes, Hit-Boy
Hollowell-Dhar, Singer-Vine, Beyonce

Electronic piece, features funky house breakdown.
PW's writer noted it almost sounds like parody; well calculated, made with viral advertising and flash mobs in mind.

#2 features Miguel and is supposedly musically rooted in 90's house.

Rollercoaster is indeed being featured by Miguel and apparently he doesn't have a big input on the song. It's one of her most electronic pop songs with 80s/90s pop and house influence. The label is still insecure of which song to release as the lead single cause the album is full with pop candy songs. Oh and the track sounds a bit like a combination of the "Sasha Fierce" and "4" era.

Only a select few have heard the song. And apparently the person who leaked the info is going to get in some serious trouble And that melanie girl that said she heard the song on radio must be false. They aren't allowed to play those two tracks they send out yet. We MIGHT hear the song in the second/third week of January.

The label is nervous because her last album sold far less than it's predecessors and spawned no hits at Top 40 radio. It was RnB heavy so only that audience was interested. The label doesn't want to alienate those fans, they don't want to make her yet another RnB artist who "sells out" and gets big pop hits with dance singles but sells no albums because of it. (Think Usher in recent years.)

Ugh, 4 is BY FAR my fav album of hers and turned me from a casual observer into a fan. I hope she remains in that vein.

Beyoncé teases new single title 'Ratchet', Lady GaGa collaboration?

Beyoncé has seemingly hinted at the title of her new single.

The singer's new track is rumoured to be titled 'Ratchet' after the star posted an image on Instagram of herself wearing a pair of earrings containing the word.

Posted Image

The picture has also sparked online rumours that the track could be a collaboration with Lady GaGa, who previously confirmed she had written a song with the same title and was looking for another female vocalist for it.

Further evidence for the collaboration comes from an Instagram picture GaGa posted back in 2012, which sees her wearing a pair of hooped earrings with the work 'Ratchet' in the centre.

What's more, Azealia Banks recently revealed that she has recorded a track called 'Ratchet' with GaGa, leading some to speculate that the track could feature all three artists.

Beyoncé and GaGa have previously collaborated on 'Video Phone' and 'Telephone'. The latter saw them on the run from the police in the accompanying music video, which finished with the words: "To be continued..."

GaGa has confirmed that the continuation of the 'Telephone' music video will feature on her upcoming third studio album ARTPOP.

I wanted a Bey-solo first single, to be honest. Hope there's not much rap in it, if Azelia's still in the game...

But if they together (B&G) , it should be really interesting.
