Do you really think Madonna looked like she was having fun? If anything, she looked nervous and like she was going through the motions.
Funny stuff...

Ok I'm going to word this very carefuly because I don't want to piss on everyone's chips.. I really enjoyed the performance but it didn't knock me sideways. Obviously the scale of it was massive and elaborate - the staging was superb and it was a great spectacle but it was at the 'what I hoped for' end of the 'what I expected' spectrum if that makes sense?

Everything after Vogue was *exactly* what I expected. Vogue was wonderfully regal if (don't shoot me) more than a little Kylie and although I really wasn't keen on the Gladiator theme I loved the big in-your-face-entrance and the mix of Vogue at the start. I got quite bored during Music which seemed to go on forever but I enjoyed GMAYL more than I expected. I couldn't work out if was heels or nerves but her dancing was odd, she needed to either move more or less but it was a bit shonky as it was. I couldn't tell if was mimed or not other than GMAYL which I'm sure was. LAP was the only part that I really, really enjoyed although that too was nothing we haven't seen before.

In short it was 'fabulous' and over the top and girlish and fun and all of the things I hoped / expected it to be but not a single moment in it surprised me which is the one thing I always truly want from Madonna.

Pretty much everyone - fans and punters alike - loved it though so it's done it's job. :)
I can't imagine what more you could have possibly wanted other than her ripping off her skin and putting it on backwards. And then someone would whine ROBBIE WILLIAMS DID THAT. Also please don't compare Kylie's budget drag shows with this MASSIVE production. This is what it looks like when it's done RIGHT.

The only moment I remember as somewhat nervous was when her leg slipped during Music, but her face was more like "wtf just happened" :lol2:

Hindsight is 20/20, dear. I also thought MDNA was a great album when it was first released. Thanks for taking the time to dig this up though. I guess you 'win'.

We all know beyonce's should got it the better way (if only Tumberlake, timbar lake or what ever they can call themselves, Suit&tie danger weren't milking our coffee).
Still, i loved Madonna entrance, that thing was THE BIG THING, not so much of the rest if you compare, yes. But the entrance was big.

I'm sorry GMSR but the sheer ferocity that you went through me during that thread stuck in my mind when you were posting on the subject in here. I know digging up old posts is kind of lame and we all change our minds .. but I couldn't resist ;) :chuckle:

Now conservatives in the media are starting to go after her for her "diva demands" backstage preparing for the show.

Why is this always news to people? These mainstream singers make millions of dollars off of singing songs that they usually didn't even write, jaded delusional behavior ends up coming naturally to them.

She really has the opportunity to be huge. With JT's piece of crap falling out of the iTunes Top 5 in less than a week she has chance to strike and dominate as there is *no* competition right now. Launching the new single in the biggest possible promotional venue will push it over the top, as long as the song slays. (Here's looking at you, Madonna.)

I wonder if she sang live at all. The articles posted above say they always pre-record a track in case of bad weather/some other sort of accident but I wonder if she completely mimed over it or just sang along.

Yeah I remember she said at the time she had two hurdles to overcome, the entrance being on time and doing the cartwheels and after that, it was smooth sailing. I miss stanning for Madonna. Be great again M, please.

RUMOR HAS IT: Is This A Peek At Beyonce's March 2013 US VOGUE Spread? (VOGUE Stays Mum)

We preface this post by saying it has not been 100% confirmed that this picture is a real, or that it is from her upcoming March 2013 US VOGUE spread. But we've got what the pic the internet is going nuts about as we type.

Check out Beyonce's alleged VOGUE sneak peek inside..

KING Bey she is. If this pic is indeed a leak from an upcoming editorial piece in VOGUE, Beyonce Knowles is letting the world know she is on her throne, ruling her subjects, and being royally fabulous.

This colorful image, rumored to be shot by Annie Lebovitz, of Beyonce dressed in sexy yet royal formalities, with red laced up thigh high boots and a gold bustier with an oversized blue King robe set in a decadent chamber, hit the net last night.

Both Beyonce's camp and VOGUE themselves have remained mum about it. But we did notice VOGUE Italia & British VOGUE tweeting up a storm to promote Beyonce's new Pulse NYC perfume and her brand new Superbowl Ad. Hmmm...

This wouldn't be Bey's first VOGUE cover & spread. She rocked L'Uomo Vogue back in 2011 and VOGUE US in 2009.

IF this is indeed a peek at the spread, we're loving it already. But time will tell...

IMO: looks fan-made

I really like when an artist goes into full blown comeback mode like this and the campaign is firing on all cylinders. If only Gaga would get her shit together and start the next era.
