Not quite sure what you all expected. It was basically a super sized version of her regular live shows, just like Madonna's was and as I predicted, she focused on song and dance, just like Prince. I loved it and really enjoyed the inclusion of the intro to Run the World and End of Time.

Her problem is that she tries so hard to be epic. She should be more natural.

I don't get why she always does random cities in France where nobody knows her.

Her problem is the opposite of Gaga. She keeps it too simple and basic. She needs to work with someone with more visual grandeur and ingenuity both for her videos and live shows.

I was waiting for smth better than the Billboard awards show, which still remains the best performance of her life, sadly.
And still nothing on the new single?! :files:

She's openning her tour in Belgrade :D I just might attend!
Doing Belgrade and Zagreb is a bad idea, she'll have two half sold shows instead of one sell out.

Super Bowl show was good, but lacked jaw-dropping moments. She looked like she was trying too hard and there were just too many songs. It felt too long. Madonna should have had crowd next to stage like that, it would have been even more epic!

Way better than Madonna's and it's being hailed the best Half Time show in history by every major publication. Madonna was going through the motions.

Madonna would NEVER let the football loving plebes come close to her like that, much less bless them by wildly swinging her weave at them like Queenonce

She could always bring her gays with her. Imagine attending a football game for Madonna, that would be something new :lol2:

The ad for her tour is everything her performance lacked : stunning, surprising, unpredictable, subtle, different, imaginative.

It was an enjoyable performance but it could have been done at any awards show. Madonna's could not have, it was suitably epic for the venue. Beyonce great and did her thing and looked like she was having fun, but this was just not a patch on madonna.

Exactly. She's shown herself as a great performer, yes, but everything else from lighting to the actual staging ideas was... not the best ever, just not. The end was just blah. When you wait for some biggest ever explosion, it was just blah. The expected big end of the show did not happen :manson:

And those questionable mirror faces on stage? like... WTF was that? Truth or Dare ad? It should be explained throughout the show actually, but it didn't. I guess it was again her Sasha Fierce idea... how old.

At least it's very likely she perform new song at the Grammys. It's this week, so maybe it's well thought-out to stretch the anticipation.

Quote: "Who said I was performing at the Grammys? I don't know if I'm performing at the Grammys," she admitted.

PS I'm really surprised Kelly dances on par with Bey (if not better).

Nonsense. And I couldn't give a fuck what "every major publication" is saying. If Madonna herself told me Beyonce's performance was better, I'd laugh in her face. Beyonce is an incredible performer, but visually, creatively and musically, it wasn't even in remotely the same league as Madonna's.

Absolutely. I saw Beyonce's last tour when it visited Dublin and while I thought that she herself was a force of nature, I couldn't get over how lame, unimaginative and tacky her show was. It was like going to a Vegas show, not a show by one of the pop world's greatest ever performers. She has no visual sense at all.
