The X Factor Finalists Release Charity Single In Aid Of Help For Heroes Single ‘Hero’ Released Digitally Midnight Saturday October 25th Released Physically Monday October 27th This year’s twelve X Factor finalists will release a charity single this October in aid of the ‘Help For Heroes’ charity. The final twelve acts have recorded a beautiful and emotive cover of Mariah Carey’s classic song ‘Hero’, and will perform the single for the first time on The X Factor during the live results show on October 25th. Fans will then be able to download the single at midnight shortly after the performance. A physical release will follow on Monday October 27th. The single is the first charity release from ITV1’s The X Factor, with all net record company proceeds going to ‘Help For Heroes’ a charity that provides support for wounded servicemen and women. ‘Help For Heroes’ was set up a year ago, by Bryn and Emma Parry and a group of friends and relations, many of who had connections with serving servicemen and women. Bryn and his wife Emma wanted to do something to help the wounded and ‘Help For Heroes’ was born. ‘Help For Heroes’ has to date raised more than £12.5 million in just under a year. The funds raised by the song will be shared at H4H’s request with the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. The RBL has cared for Servicemen, women and their families since its foundation in1921. Bryn Parry says: “Everyone at ‘Help For Heroes’ is thrilled to hear that The X Factor is supporting our boys and girls. We hope the public will do their bit to make this a hit single and demonstrate that we really care”. The twelve acts performing on the single are the 14 – 24 boys Austin Drage, Eoghan Quigg and Scott Bruton, 14 – 24 girls Laura White, Diana Vickers and Alexandra Burke, over 25s Daniel Evans, Rachel Hylton, Ruth Lorenzo and groups Bad Lashes, Girlband and JLS. |

Surely Deadwife will go tonight? Or that permanently off-key chav, Rachel? Or the paedo-bait with the hair from hell, Eoghan? |

I think Eggnog is in it for the long haul. I reckon it will be him, Diana (probably the most over-rated contestant ever), and JSL (JLS?) in the final. Worst final ever! I can't believe Eggnog gets great comments every week. They must be watching a different show to me, because he's a fucking mile out of tune! I really like Alexandra and Ruth, but they haven't a hope in hell of winning. |

Oh they're my favourites too. Streets ahead of anyone else. The judges comments this year are a farce. Rachel sang out of tune yet again for practically the entire song, and not a word of it. Just the generic "I really like you and I hope the public keep you in" bullshit. WTF? Cowell used to rip into contestants, but he barely says a thing these days. By the way, that final you've conjured up there would be absolutely DREADFUL. Surely it won't happen?? |

Well, there are very strong rumours that those three are polling far more votes than everyone else. My least favourite contestant this year is that dreadful little munchkin that fronts that boy band. He fucking LOVES himself. I simply cannot bear it! If only I could order myself a KKK takeaway, I'd send one round toute suite. |

OMG! I know the one you mean, but at least he has a vague semblance of a voice. The others are awful! The whole Diana Vickers thing is *ludicrous*. She can barely sing and isn't even good-looking. It's the usual thing of Joe Public being told she's "different" and "quirky" and actually believing it. |

She sounds like that bloody awful Delores bird who used to be in the Cranberries. The most hilarious thing is she's like that girl Susanne who was in the second series of Pop Idol (the one won by Michelle McMassive), yet they're claiming she's different. I also can't make out a fucking word she's singing. That Blondie number was appalling, yet you'd think we'd just witnessed a cure for cancer on stage. Cheryl Cole is actually starting to annoy me - she thinks he acts are totally beyond criticism. Laura WAS rubbish last week, and DID come across like a hotel singer. So she played piano? So fucking what? I could learn the four notes she played five minutes before going on stage. |

Sweet Jesus! If this is true, there is absolutely no point in continuing to watch this show. From Digital Spy: Eoghan Quigg is on course to win The X Factor after topping the viewer vote every week, according to a report. The Daily Star claims that Quigg has been "comfortably" ahead of his rival contestants, including bookies' favourite Diana Vickers, throughout the competition. "It's not even close. Eoghan's captured the public's imagination this year," an insider told the newspaper. "It's like the George Sampson effect in Britain's Got Talent - an innocent-looking young lad is attracting huge numbers of votes. "He was singing first last week, normally the worst position, but he still beat everyone. It'll take a miracle for anyone else to win." A previous 'voting leak' report named Quigg, Vickers and JLS as the frontrunners this year, while axed singer Laura White, Alexandra Burke and Dannii Minogue's 'Over 25s' were said to be trailing behind. |

Jesus Christ. Apparently Cowell seems him as the perfect winner, as he wouldn't then be competing with his other money-spinner Leona Lewis. He has no interest in seeing Alexandra win, even though she's clearly the best singer of the bunch. If this is true, then he's being very short-sighted, as Quigg would probably sell decently in the UK initially, but that would be it. He has absolutely NO international appeal. Having said all that, Cowell's main concern is the TV show. That's where most of the cash comes from, so he probably doesn't *really* care who wins. |

So true. Apparently Cole went for Lous Walsh after the show, despite the fact that the other two judges also voted Laura out. And the stuff in the papers all week about a "conspiracy" has made me sick. Laura was *shit* last week, but because a Spaniard was kept in and she wasn't, there's this huge uproar and conspiracy theories. Did people really think she was better than Ruth in the sing off? If they do, then they're utterly clueless. |

That Diana is a head wrecker. She needs to realise that she doesn't have to yodel her way through songs, and for chrsit sake, surely they could brush her hair before they send her out on stage?? |

I suppose it's all part of her "Look at my hair! It's a mess! I'm a kooky, quirky little girl. No, really I am! Seriously, I can't sing but I'm quirky. Did I mention that I'm quirky? Vote for me!!" look. Not at all contrived and/or shit. |

Watching it now and I fear Ruth is gonna go this week it'll be terrible as her slutty intro-clip is THE BEST THING ON ITV. |

Once again, Alexandra was in a totally different league to everyone else. Diana Vickers was GHASTLY as always. What a talentless little bint. |

Yeah, I think Ruth is going to go this week. The only way she has a hope of staying is if she's in the bottom two with Daniel. If it's anyone else they'll say, you've been here three times now, so you're out. Of ALL the British rock songs out there they went for fucking "Angels". Ridiculous. |

Poor old Diana - laryngitis notwithstanding, it's time for her to go. Her voice is dreadful - she sings like she has a headcold. Ruth should say, crappy song choice but great performance. The should get rid of Daniel, he's another Steve Whatsit in the making!! |

I know Daniel is easy to laugh at, but at least he has a solid voice. Interesting to hear Rachel sing a song almost entirely in tune for the first time in the series. So difficult to say who'll be in the bottom two. I guess it'll be Daniel and Ruth, although it should clearly be Vickers. I'd stone her off the stage if I could. |

Well, this is the thing about Rachel. Months later she sings the track that she first sang, and managed to sound worse than she did back then. And that fucking Eoghan!!!! When he tried to hit the high note he sounded like a puppy that had been kicked in the gut. Bloody awful, but still the judges were cooing and gushing. To the potato fields with him! |
