Dannii needs to find genuinely strong songs to record. She won't get away with the dross that she recorded in the past. She's a popular figure in the UK right now though, and she's clearly a very, very classy lady, but she still needs GOOD MATERIAL if she wants to have a chance at a successful recording career. I'd love to see her pull it off somehow!

she just needs to record an album as good as neon nights, surely that would not be that hard of a task. given her high profile atm, lots of a-class songwriters/producers should be willing to work with her. it really is time for queen dannii to score a number one, god knows she deserves it :drama:

I guess I agree. I don't think any of them will be a big star. There's no "wow" person this year at all. Or last year for that matter.

American idol has had NINE seasons and they've NEVER had a "wow" winner. And mind you, the US population is 300 million, 5 times the population of Britain. :manson:

The X-Factor is doing just fine this year.

Ooh really?? It's about time they did a Madonna week. Very, very few artists have such a huge catalogue of massive hits to draw from.

I think the Madonna theme might be ditched. Mary's singing "the way we were" in semi final.

I think she'll be the next to go. Louis is choosing the worst songs for her. Hes turned her into a one trick pony.

Her performance last night was amazing though. Ironically, that was the save-me song.

Exclusive: 'X Factor' Lloyd promises GaGa-like album

X Factor star Lloyd Daniels has compared his upcoming debut album to Lady GaGa and Beyoncé - because it is so eclectic. :chuckle:

Daniels, who finished fifth on last year's series of the ITV1 talent show, is currently "working really hard" on the record, which he insisted is "not at all" like his X Factor performances. :drama:

"We've gone for lots of completely different genres because we didn't want to keep it too much the same," he told Digital Spy at a recent photo shoot for Gay Times's Naked Issue. :chuckle: "I think you could compare it to people like Beyoncé and GaGa because they don't make albums where every track sounds the same."

When asked when fans could expect to hear his music, Daniels revealed that he is planning to release his debut single in February, although he was unable to confirm when the full album will be available. :chuckle:

Daniels also revealed that Cher Lloyd is his favorite contestant on this year's X Factor, describing the 17-year-old as "just brilliant", but predicted that One Direction are likely to win the contest.

"They've got great voices the five of them and they're good-looking boys. I think they've got a great fanbase so they're going to do very, very well," he explained.

i guess it's official now:

Glee, BEP and Alexandra Burke for next week's 'Madonna' themed show

The cast of hit US show Glee, world famous group the Black Eyed Peas and former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will all be performing on this weekend’s show, it has been confirmed. This week the 5 semi-finalists will once again face having to learn two songs – at least one of which must be by US diva Madonna!

The remaining contestants will be singing the 52-year-old’s hit songs as they all fight for a place in The X Factor 2010 final show.

On the Sunday another act will leave – resulting in FOUR acts going through to this year’s final, which is expected to be the biggest ever with more than 20 million viewers tuning in.

The Sunday results show will also see the cast of Glee join forces with this year’s finalists for what promises to be the group performance of the series. Meanwhile former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke returns to the stage for the third year in the row to perform her new track, ‘The Silence’ from the re-release of her debut album Overcome.

Finally the Black Eyed Peas plan a charged performance for their new song ‘The Time (Dirty Bit)’.

The X Factor returns on Saturday at 7:40PM on ITV1 and ITV1HD.
