I honestly don't think he took the music seriously this time around. He's seen how he can make just as much, if not more, money in film a lot easier and a lot faster and has made that his focus. It seems like he put out these two albums just to do it and see how many copies he could sell and how much money he could make based on name recognition and the long wait alone and/or to fulfill his record contact. This is made pretty evident by him being as lazy as releasing a leftover from his 7 year old previous album as the new album's 2nd single. |

Part 1 was nice enough. There were some really great songs (Strawberry Bubblegum, Don't Hold The Wall, Mirrors are my favorites), but Part 2 is just utterly tasteless. The outros are painfully unbearable. For example, True Blood could have good. It just ends up being an awfully long and dull song. The outros in Part 1 weren't to everyone's liking but they at least tried to bring some sonically interesting counterpoints to the songs. This is all so transparent : money money money out of rejects from previous albums. Such a pity. |

Hear the new single here. It's from a forthcoming kids film. Very pop and summery! A bit Olly Murs-ish. http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/justin-timberlake-cant-stop-the-feeling/ |

well, it's from a kids film so you couldn't really be expecting something groundbreaking. it's fine for what it is, a carefree little pop song. a PURE pop song, if i may add. gwen stefani is on the video and funnily enough there i was thinking this would have fitted perfectly on her latest album the first time i gave it a listen. |

Yeah, it's weird to hear people bitching about a song from a kid's film. Jesus, it's just a fun pop song with an extremely catchy melody. Are people missing the 7 minute long outros already? |

Mirrors was great! Tellingly, wasn't it originally written for his previous album though? Hehe. |

I think the melody is lazy, simplistic, generic and forgettable. Funny how the it's being hailed as the catchiest song since Happy. Ridiculous.

Well I love the song. It's a relief to see a mainstream pop artist under the age of 40 actually release a single that features some semblance of a melody. I just think the chanting at the tail end of the song should've been extended. |

so, he's performing this on eurovision final he's really going after a huge hit. what a genius promo platform he's using too. the likes of madge, kylie, gaga etc better take notice. there's your target audience, girls, all gathered in front of a tv screen on a saturday night.

Good on him, his first #1 since 2007. For whatever reason there's a whole lot of bitter pop tart stans having conniptions over "this shit song" being #1. |

I know! I have NO idea what the problem is. Have we really gotten so used to the shit in the charts that they can no longer recognise a great pop song with loads of hooks? Grim. Oh well. he's having the last laugh and it's clearly massively popular with the public as well as us! |
