Just *loved* this comment on Popjustice:

"Listening to it the second time was like sitting in school on a hot summer's day."

I listened to it several times, but it's more like an anti-grower for me

It's the very definition of uneventful and boring, with an intro that seems to be a prank on the listener.

u're overreacting, i think.

however, the song is indeed quite uneventful. i can't believe we had to wait six or seven years for this - justin has never released a weak single up to this very moment. perhaps the real lead single will be revealed pretty soon? here's hoping

Who is buying this shit?

Justin Timberlake's 'Suit & Tie' headed for huge debut

Seven years ago, Justin Timberlake brought sexy back. This time around, he’s bringing sales back.

According to Billboard, ”Suit & Tie,” Timerberlake’s Jay-Z-assisted single that showed up on iTunes on Monday, could move as many as 350,000 downloads in its first week of release. That would top the opening week sales of his most successful digital single, “SexyBack,” by nearly 100,000.

That’s a big number for JT, and it will make “Suit & Tie” one of only seven songs ever to sell over 300,000 in its opening week. But “Suit & Tie” doesn’t begin to sniff the biggest debut in digital sales history. That title belongs to Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which shifted a staggering 623,000 paid downloads in its first week of release back in the fall of 2012.

Thanks to a lot of early adds at radio, “Suit & Tie” should debut somewhere in the lower half of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Should airplay remain stout, the sales run this week should give “Suit & Tie” enough juice to challenge for the top spot on that chart, which is currently held in a death grip by Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven.” Should he find his way to the No. 1 position, it would be Timberlake’s sixth trip to that plateau — he already had a chart-topper as a member of NSYNC, three as a solo act, and one as a featured guest.

It's a huge comeback, regardless of the song. I doubt it will have legs though. Unless people are hearing something I'm not.

What's wrong with people, ugh.
Curiosity is the only key to this one-off huge success. Everyone wants to hear this song just because its his new music in years. There's still no other male pop star of his level since 00's in the US.

MJ had GM at least. JT has no competition on blue-eyed pop-stars market, still (adult). In the US, I think. Robbie was the one to compete successfully with him in Europe.

Bad start of the comebacks for the year. Beyonce plus Timbaland is the next one.... :scared: :scared: :scared:

Usher's latest album was GREAT. He will never be as big as JT for OBVIOUS reasons but his album was definitely great.

Also, I trust Queen Bey to not come out with anything resembling this crap.

Really? I think JT looks bigger because he's had international success, but Usher has been a much bigger seller in the U.S.. He's had a diamond and multi-platinum albums.

Apparently Confessions was 4x Platinum in the U.K. and 2x Platinum in Europe too.
