I actually like Devil and Dance 2Nite, they are the highlights of the shitty album for me.

I have determined that Hard Candy is not shitty and is in fact BETTER than MDNA because it is more consistent and has some sort of direction (even if it was a dated one at the time). Also, I like it because I have convinced myself that it is a throwback to Madonna's first two pop/dance/funk/post-disco/RnB albums and as such, concludes her 25 years at Warner nicely.

They're two of my favourites too!

Okay since everyone asked for it (no one asked for it) I will explain in detail my plan to turn Hard Candy from a 7 to a 8.5/10 album. I would polish up Across The Sky and stick it on there in place of Miles Away which is a bit monotone for me. Also I would polish Animal and stick it on there in place of Spanish Lesson and voila you have a much better 12 track album with Ring My Bell as an Itunes bonus. I would scrap the shit Candy theme but keep the boxing and call the entire affair Animal Instinct. There. Album saved. Ish.

While MDNA is a bit of a clusterfuck of an album, I'd much rather listen to it over Hard Candy or even Bedtime Stories.

Hard Candy maybe consistent, but then so were the Nazis.

MDNA has higher highs, for sure. But the lows... oh those lows. So tinny and phoned in. Britney looked more alive on the X Factor.

I don't know, he was on so much of Hard Candy. His voice, his writing, his melodies. Poor Devil Wouldn't Recognize You. It could have been an epic Madonna ballad if Justin didn't have his handprints all over it.
Totally. Song is great, the melody, lyrics. But it all was killed by super cold boring production.

I don't blame JT though. It's Timbaland who killed the perfection of Madonna's album history.

Ultimately Madonna herself is to blame though!

I have no issue with him either really. He's a talented guy and always seems like he has a good sense of humour.

The song is still shit though.
He's a vile shit in real life. A few years back at some film premiere he SPIT on a fan.

He's also a major homophobe, which most people don't know. Lance Bass isn't allowed anywhere near JT's lexicon.
Sounds like super concrete, verified information.
Uh, yeah.

He's on camera spitting on the fan and there were countless articles about how Lance bass (and Joey) weren't at the wedding.

Yes. It was the first time she thought big names are the guarantee for success. But if they did good work, like with Rihanna... They didn't, except one song which noone even cares about now. It was so hit of the month...
So the blame IS also on them. They screwed it up big time. How come Timba is still get paid for work is out of my understanding.

could it just be that their relationship just fell out for other reasons than him being homophobic? he really doesn't look and act like such sort of guy. besides, lots of musicians he's befriended or collaborated with are well known for their pro gay stance. plus, given the fact gays form a fairly large portion of his fan base, this rumor makes little sense - or at least that i'd like to believe.

u can't really blame timbaland for running out of ideas. madonna's far too experienced to not have realized he and justin bring nothing new onto the table from the very early stages of making that album, so it's her responsibility its production was based in the rehash of an already dated sound. however, hard candy's not a bad album by any means, it's just that critical and commercial response would have been far more positive had it been released two years earlier.

Kinda disagree. HC is very bad album. I listened to it about 10-20 times at best, each one was a torture of a kind.
I could listen to the way more 'dated' even back then Future Sounds by JT now anytime. Or very dated ROL by M.
'Dated' thing is not relevant from 5 years retrospective. It was just bad and had no interesting songs.

David Fincher to Direct Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” Music Video

A Social Network reunion is in the making. Though David Fincher famously made his feature directorial debut on Alien 3, the filmmaker first made a name for himself in the world of music videos. He was responsible for a number of clips, including Madonna’s “Vogue” and “Express Yourself,” Billy Idol’s “Cradle of Love,” and Aerosmith’s “Janie’s Got a Gun.” Now he’s wading back into that world to help herald the much-anticipated return of Justin Timberlake, as The Playlist reports that Fincher is directing the music video for Timberlake’s new single “Suit & Tie.”

Production on the spot actually began last week, and Jay-Z appears on the track as well so one assumes he’ll make an appearance in the video too. This is Fincher’s first music video since helming Nine Inch Nails’ “Only,” and it’s hard to argue against another Fincher/Timberlake collaboration.

Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience will hit stores on March 19th.

SORRY but Fincher won't make his big music video comeback with someone like Madonna or EVEN Lady Gaga and he will do it with this SHIT SONG from Justina? Has he EVER had a decent video, apart from Cry Me A River?

what with it sinking on the charts after its initial high peak, i can't understand why they're still bothering with promotion when justinaInc could claim it was just a buzz single and save face. oh well, as riv put it, at least one good thing may come out of this half arsed song.

If someone dare to listen to the 90's Lisa Stansfield-inspired soul, here it is. His new 2 songs. The sound is not good.

so I guess Shit&Tie IS the most recognizable song from the album, there's a reason it's a proper first single.
