From Vasilios on the PJ forum: "A friend of mine heard Into The Blue and says it's an amazing upbeat, uplifting ballad-type anthem." |

a couple of people in the know have described it as a cross between all the lovers, i believe in you and a track on x titled no more rain. it seems they're not willing to risk with the lead single, then - it has to be very kylie sounding. |

Kylie is one artist I really don't mind playing it safe - by which I mean playing it 'Kylie' - as opposed to jumping on the latest bandwagon if that makes sense? |

Absolutely. I never look to Kylie for groundbreaking, cutting edge pop. I just want cracking pop tunes and she almost always delivers! |

Nah, they are two totally separate entities. If they playlist the song it'll have nothing to do with The Voice. |

i'd be very surprised if she lets them creep into the final tracklist in case they're just clones of his usual drivel. it's already been implied she rejected songs from the early recordings with involvement by A listers such as darkchild and stargate. but then, the news of a very high profiled collaboration on the second single have surfaced today, suggesting it's going to feature a musician of international status. hopefully that's pharrell and not will.i.am. pharrell really suits her a lot more. |

True! I hated having to place Rhythm of Love so low, because it contains her four greatest singles in my opinion. It's just that everything else on it is utter shite. ![]() You really hate Aphrodite, don't you!

Pharrell was raving about a track he worked on with kylie titled the winners months ago. surely he'd be enthusiastic about it, after all it's his own music, but then i assume revealing it in such great spirits must mean both parts are being pretty confident about its qualities. hopefully at least one of his produced songs will make it to the final tracklist though i'm not keeping my hopes too high. |

a lot of the album tracks on rhythm of love are really decent but also completely overshadowed by the four singles, which most probably constitute one of the most iconic group of amazing singles off a pop album by any pop artist ever. quite an uneven tracklist, then. i was initially excited by aphrodite (well, on first listen) but it took me just a couple of days to realise how underwhelming it was for me. i thought it was shocking for a kylie album to include just one obvious single and a dozen of fillers as she always made sure some 4 to 5 potential singles (meaning strong, life defining, classic kylie anthems) could be tracked on her sets, even the most mediocre ones. For me, there's nothing bad on Aphrodite though. I actually like all the songs, whereas most of her other albums contained at least two songs that I thought were complete junk. It's a very solid album I think, without ever being spectacular. |

well that was the problem with me disliking aphrodite. while a solid album with no obvious stinkers, there were absolutely no highs to elevate it (apart from all the lovers, that is). for example, x included some horrible tracks (all i see, cosmic among those) but its standout songs were some of the best music she's ever recorded. consistency is fine, but in kylie's case i'd rather cherry pick a handful of top class gems off her latest effort rather than go through a dozen of respectable, yet unremarkable tracks enhancing none of that special kylie sparkle. however, i do think she came back on fine form with timebomb, so i have every faith in her delivering the goods this time around. |

also, it's endearing to see how much time and effort she puts into her music, even after all this time. regardless of the result, i do respect her for giving her best - she's been recording for at least a year now while madonna probably took a month off her side projects to record mdna- and she's also old school enough not to over hype herself on twitter unlike gaga. she really is a grounded, yet smart and career savvy popstar and it's no coincidence people are still getting excited of yet another kylie comeback in 2014. back in the 90s, that would have sounded crazy and unthinkable. |
