So, the album is out now in most countries. Am I right in thinking she hasn't performed a single song from it on TV yet? If so, WTF is going on?

The standard CD was €14.99 I think. The deluxe CD + DVD was €20.99. The vinyl + CD + digital download was €24.99. The LP has a CD inside in a cardboard sleeve and a little digital download coupon with a web address and code.

Yeah, I thought that was quite reasonable too. They had quite a few left today. I didn't see any in Tower Records, so it looks like they didn't get it for some reason, but HMV had plenty.

i believe there are a few tv performances scheduled throughout the next few weeks (sports relief, graham norton and some annual german music awards) but it is indeed odd the single was released without any major promo slot to push it to the top10. i guess kylie team overestimated the voice impact thinking it'd be enough to secure a sizable hit, thus saving tv performances for the album promo. they were wrong. press reports of the lead single being her first to miss the top10 since 1997 will definitely surface and that's just horrible publicity for the album. her label need to rush release the enrique duet or the pharrell penned track if they want this album to sustain some sort of momentum

oddly addictive is the perfect description for this album. i see it as a sonic reflection of her transition from relevant popstar to a state we can't really predict. it amalgamates the most familiar sounds of her past eras, much like mdna did, only in a more effortless, honest and inspired fashion. i start to wonder if this is the actual tracklist format touring pop attractions such as madonna and kylie will choose to stick to for their albums from this point on, trying to appeal to anyone who's bought their records in the past in order to maximize tour gross.

however, i do think this album coming 27 years into the career of a popstar everybody was keen writing off over that time frame is indeed impressive. it shits all over the abysmal aphrodite from a great height.
