not sure what to make of this. it's a hard task covering this particular song decently. not too fond of it i'm afraid. however, i need u tonight, now that's a cover whose studio version i'd love it if she could come up with.

according to the most reliable poster on internet forums regarding kylie, she's no longer signed to parlophone and has decided not to renew her contract even though the option was offered by her label. it's also been hinted she's into negotiations with virgin, while another source is claiming she considers retiring. i dread the possibility for the latter scenario happening, it's just way too soon. :(

i guess this development explains her decision to give away the garibay produced songs and skirt finally being available for purchase on itunes. it's pretty obvious kiss me once was not the album she initially intended to release and her lack of enthusiasm/creative effort for this campaign actually makes more sense now. however, she's also to blame for the commercial disaster of this project. it's not as if kylie's a newbie in the music industry. she should have known better and acted accordingly.

Oh wow. Very sad news indeed. But yeah, she has to take a lot of responsibility for how it all turned out. :(

i was completely in awe when madonna decided to leave warner after decades, but at least she managed to get big bucks with that 360 live nation deal. kylie's into a way more different and complicated situation right now. what could any new label bring to the table to revive the fortunes of a 46 year old female popstar? parlophone resurrected her career, did a fantastic job sustaining the prestige of the kylie brand throughout the years even though sales were declining and i'm sure they'd never ever consider dropping her. this leads me to believe she must be pretty pissed with them right now for reasons i'd love to know details about. rumor has it she's hardly the likable character we all imagine her to be. i've read of people working with her describing her death stare and eyebrow rising reaction to anything going wrong as a pretty frightening experience.

She alluded to a midlife crisis on Alan Carr last year. She was unhappy with her life and was returning to oz afte years in london.

Maybe shes bored and wants something new - quite a normal human behaviour.

i doubt she'd ever seriously consider leaving london for good. it's been her home for the biggest part of her life. she's been bored for the entirety of the album campaign but now it does seem like she's ready to mix it up a bit and take some riskier decisions about her direction. that's what i sense anyway.

Rainy morning with Impossible princess playing in the background :drama:
This truly was her peak. Stylistically it was all over the place but it was just all put together so well.
Jump, Breathe, Too Far, Some Kind of Bliss, Limbo.. back when Kylie's work was, I dare say it, as good and as exciting Madonna's best :drama:

impossible princess is an ideal record listening to on a rainy autumn day. it was definitely her artistic peak and the prime reason why she's just not another hybrid of the basic female pop starlet prototype. the album was slaughtered by critics just because of her name printed on its cover. i've always thought she halfheartedly returned to her pure pop roots right afterwards only to expose left field music on the basis of her rejuvenated broad appeal. no pop bitch with the exception of madonna would ever dare releasing slow as a lead single, or even 2 hearts for that matter.

i do remember both ray of light and impossible princess being released almost simultaneously. what a treat for a madge/kylie loon spring 1998 was.

I'm looking forward to seeing Kylie's show in three weeks time. I know it's a very scaled-back production, but from the pictures I've seen, at least it looks extremely well lit and slick. ArtRave is beyond naff and ugly looking.

kylie's incapable of putting on a bad show nowadays. les folies was her worst stage effort in my opinion, it just looked so incredibly camp i couldn't even digest. the new show is nothing original but at least it's charming and quite enjoyable. it's a bit shocking nobody besides the loons actually likes the artrave show.

German Lovers,

I am extremely disappointed that due to financial difficulties of the German promoter CT Creative Talent GmbH, I am unable to perform the scheduled shows in Cologne, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg. The Administrator who is now controlling CT Creative Talent GmbH, is unable to confirm that we have the venues and facilities needed to be able to put on the shows.

On my behalf, my management team at Roc Nation are trying to work out a way that we may be able to make up for the disappointment, both to the fans who have purchased tickets, all of my creative and technical team on the KMO tour and also myself. I have always had great support in Germany from a loyal and loving fan base and I can’t stress enough how difficult and disappointing it is to be ready to play the shows and to have been let down at the last minute.

CT Creative Talent GmbH is not the promoter for any of the other shows on the KMO tour outside of Germany and therefore this does not affect, in any way, any other shows.

Please keep an eye on this space so we can update you all with any developments.

Kylie. X

I am so disappointed to tell you I have to cancel some shows. The tour manager has lost our pump and we are therefore unable to inflate the Artrave set. This is very upsetting when I was ready to dazzle you all with my giant balloon. If anyone has a spate pump, please ldrop it off at the venue.
