She could sell this song with a big dance music video. I think she would have to if this is the first single.

Well I gave it a proper listen this morning and I have to say I really like it. I'm a sucker for that kind of euphoric/dubstep sound though. It's not ever going to be an iconic Kylie track but I can certainly see myself listening to it a lot. And I agree that with the right promo it could possibly do ok. From the conversation I was expecting some massively hardcore techno track but I really don't see this alienating people, if anything it's a bit Rihanna/Britney as someone said earlier. All the same I'd prefer it as an album track.

this really is one hell of a grower. it sounded a bit trashy at first and, yes, the riri/britney connection is definitely obvious, but then it's far edgier and riskier than anything them girls have ever put on record. on the other hand, nom de strip is a scottish dj/producer, so she can hardly be blamed for succumbing to american dance trends. it was about time she adopted a more contemporary direction. and for anyone arguing i'm using double measures related to madonna, this album track/b side/buzz left over or however u may call it is far more exciting and braver than almost anything on mdna - i'm addicted excluded.

reliable sources report the lead single is about to drop in the next month or so and we should expect a heavy oriented dance album to follow in autumn. it seems as if kylie's not willing to be shelved as a heritage act just as yet.

I'm excited to see how this plays out - it would be great to see her have another big hit. I think at worst it will be an interesting album that flops inspite of itself. Ok no, at worst it could be overly generic and flop but I highly doubt it will turn out to be embarrassing or out and out bad. Even the worst of Kylie I generally find enjoyable.

ain't it just creepily infectious? there's something trashy yet completely endearing about it. i'm certain it would have sounded out of place had another vocalist was delivering it. i'm probably not the most objective person in the world when kylie's concerned, but i do sense she has a special charisma in putting her own stamp onto tracks that would have sounded ridiculous without her involvement.

rocnation signed her knowing there'd be a struggle to replace her as a contemporary, profitable pop star. both she and her management company are taking a huge risk that might not pay off. as it appears, the music's concentrated in attracting younger audiences, a target group she hasn't really conquered ever since the fever era, and that was more than a decade ago. with her just turning 45, albeit a gorgeous looking one, convincing the likes of radio 1 and capital to come on board is going to be a hard task, but then the influence of rocnation in the music business shouldn't be underestimated. if the youngsters don't bother, then there's no way more mature audiences including her long time fanbase will embrace this new sound - as if radio 2 could ever playlist skirt without wider approval.

all i'm saying is, yes, this new album may bomb and finish her off as a viable and competitive pop force, but at least she'll be making her exit with a blast and without anyone blaming her for not trying.

I'm a bit ambivalent about this track. On one hand, I'm just grateful it isn't more Get Outta My Way gay pap but on the other hand it feels a bit 'done already'.

Yeah sound's very polished now finally (BTW, how big of a difference it makes?)... But I have mixed feelings.
I mean I like it, but I totally can't recall this chorus (good one) in my head, when I think of how new Kylie song sounds like.
just seems like a good album track, not the single.

I was hoping there's a big song beneath this mix, but seems it's just this. even no second verse... a bit disappointed

I do *like* it, but it still just feels like a remix or a good b-side. It's nothing special.
