Reading the Map
This map is organized differently than other maps in NS regions. At first glance you will notice three distinct shapes: telescoping concentric circles, small boxes, and patches of angled lines.

Circles: Denote tribal settlements, each tribe get a singular settlement placed on the map. This is your tribes nexus, it's metropolis, while there may be other villages and outposts in your territory this settlement is in essence your capital. Tribes in this roleplay do not control territories and as such do not have solid borders. Instead tribes have spheres of influence that extend beyond their settlement. As tribes grow and evolve through roleplay new circles are added to show an expanding sphere of influence across Martian territory (as seen with Karnak whose influence spreads from Tharsis to the Amazonis Planitia). These circles may intersect and tribes may exert influence over the same territories as their neighbors, however the base circle may not be crossed by a neighboring sphere of influence.

Squares: Represent Ruins where tribes can explore and search for treasures. At the current time there are for of these Ruins: Minraud, Ong, Solon, and Tuat.

Lines: Express territory controlled by hostile entities that lack a central settlement. These territories are dangerous and tribes whose sphere of influence cross these sections should be prepared for attacks from these hostiles.

Claiming a Space
In order to claim a space please link a picture of the map with the precise location of your settlement and it's name in your Registration form. Please note that the initial circle will be added for you around the chosen location of your settlement, so choose the location wisely.

If you are a previously nomadic tribe wishing to settle down, please send a message to a member of the Admin team or a duly appointed Cartographic Officer.
