![]() The clinic wasn't very large, neither was it grandly decorated. A small waiting area was all there was just outside of the consultation room and only a slightly-stained brass sign named the doctor in charge. A door connects his office to the ward next to it. ![]() The clinic was open through most of the week and closes at irregular times of the night because of unexpected emergencies. Resident doctors open and close their offices by the clock, but this particular doctor had asked for the medical wing's emergency exit to be kept open for any more patients who came too early or too late, with no available clinic open. Every visitor was greeted by a lone doctor with a ready smile. "Bienvenue a La Ciel d'Ailes!" |

Puffy white clouds decorated the afternoon sky, following those who dare leave their humble abode and explore the outside world. Some resembled something with their forms, entertaining those who were laying on the green grass to chat with their friends and acquaintances. The vibrant colours of the sky adding to the beauty of the world above. The different hues of different colours were blended together, giving a soothing effect for those who were feeling blue. Birds flew from one place to another, never leaving the side of their family to avoid getting lost in an unfamiliar place. Mei stood in front of the small clinic with a hand on her bruised arm, a clear expression of pain in her face. Getting too deep into her training was a horrible idea, making her accidentally unleash her Origin. With a clenched fist and her glove ready and activated, she punched the training dummy standing innocently before her. The stand broke and it flew to a tree, making a tree separate from its roots before falling to the ground. It wasn't too long before it started stinging a bit, soon spreading into her whole arm. There were purple spots on her arm, showing how damaged it got. Now, she knew she had to stop and get it treated before it gets worse. This certain clinic was recommended by most of the members of the Cabinet which got her attention, wondering why it was recommended so much. Was it the doctor's magic or the equipment's magic? Either way, she knew which clinic to go to now as soon as she got a bruised arm. She knocked on the glass door before opening it, emitting a small shriek when she was greeted with a small greeting from the doctor himself. Her heart started beating fast, nervousness immediately embracing her whole being tightly. She never feared doctors in her whole life, but she wasn't used to being treated by a different doctor. She almost tripped with her own two feet - maybe blame the heels? - before she got inside, closing the door behind her with a big exhale. She leaned on it for a second before standing up again, hissing when she accidentally hit the handle with her bruised arm. She bowed to the doctor, showing respect before looking at anywhere but the man in front of her, "E-Excuse me, are you free? I mean, I-I think you are but.." She sighed and slowly raised her arm, furrowing her eyebrows as she continues her shaky sentence, "I trained too hard and accidentally went too hard on myself." Edited by Mei, Jul 8 2016, 08:41 PM.

Persona: "The Doctor" "Oui. I am. Come, come." Theo gave his new patient a reassuring nod. He was no stranger to the kind of reaction she had given just now, but it wasn't as frequent with adults as with children. Adults were skittish when they lied about their real conditions - she didn't look like she suffered any. Well, except for the arm she was cradling. He gestured the seats in the room and suggested they make themselves comfortable. His guest looked in dire need of it. "You overdid yourself? Bon Dieu." He shook his head slowly. His tone was soft as he gently lifted the battered arm with several clucks of the tongue. "Now, mademoiselle, would you mind? I would like to have a look at your arm." His eyes narrowed from behind the round-rimmed glasses. It could be a broken arm. It could be a sprain. Either way, painkillers would be part of the prescription. The doctor almost flinched at the sight of the bruises. Green eyes stared in wonder at the woman, followed by a small twitch at the corners of the lips in a bubbling comment to lighten the tension. "My condolences to the unfortunate man who has crossed you, cherie." He chuckled and prodded the arm lightly. "Joking aside, how many times has this happened? It seems to me that you've been giving so many hard blows, that your bones have gotten strong enough to withstand what you have done now." No broken bones. Interesting. Mei watched the doctor in wonder as he examined her bruised arm with a gentle hand, little pricks of pain shooting through her arm every time he turned it. She silently hissed as she looked at her bruised arm, seeing how it was decorated with the colours purple and yellow. It was a disgusting sight indeed, but Mei wasn't affected since she was already used to seeing such painful decorations in her arm. The first time she got hurt, it was when she accidentally unleashed her full strength when she was still a child. Filled with rage and despair over the loss of her parents who were both warriors from the clan she belonged to, she screamed and caused an earthquake with her two feet, causing the wooden houses and huts to be broken into pieces from the trembling ground. When the head of the clan begged her to stop, she didn't think twice and immediately pulled her arm back and swung as hard as she could. If the head stopped her with full strength, then every inch of her punch would've backfired, causing her arm to break a few bones and turn purplish-red. The walls were painted dry with pink and green, showing a pleasant and environmental feeling to the small room enclosed with four walls and a pink ceiling. It was plain yet lively, the medical equipment exposed to the clients which added a little to the beauty of the small clinic. The two rectangular lights hanging on the ceiling gave light to the already bright room, caged with metal bars that prevented the light bulb from falling. Mei curled her fingers, hearing a few relieving pops of her joints. She let out a chuckle at his joke, seeing it funny how he thought it was a man. Well, it isn't everyday a woman gets hurt by a dummy. Now that she thought about it, the wooden structure of a human body was - obviously - gender less. And now it's decided, all dummies will be men if that'll make it funnier whenever she trains. She sighed at his question, "Too many for me to able to count, to be honest. This is why I have to train with caution, or else this will happen. I've always experienced this ever since I was able to increase my strength which was when I was still a child." |

Persona: "The Doctor" He listened in silence, nodding to show that he understood. The doctor clucked his tongue, letting his fingers prod a few more areas before rising. While his assessment was that the patient had no broken bones, the bruises worried him. He gestured the door leading to the examination room. "If you would follow me, cherie, we'll get that arm scanned. This will be quick. I assure you it won't hurt." Theo lightly padded around the set, plugging in equipment and pressing buttons. A low, soft humming filled the room. For her benefit, he drew the curtains across the viewing windows. He gave Mei an encouraging smile and patted the table at the center. "Please have a seat here, mademoiselle." A smaller, elevated armrest rose beside the table. A scope clicked in place over it. |

A spark ignited in her body, feeling like she just got hit by a small lightning. She accidentally clenched her hand into a fist, trying to gulp down the lump in her throat. It seemed unsuccessful; she was only able to respond to him with a silent nod. To be honest, Mei couldn't really understand anything he was about to do with her arm except for it getting scanned. Despite the fact she already went to her previous doctor multiple times, she couldn't actually grasp the "medical language". She was either stupid or dumb, no other choices. The room Theo asked her about her bruises wasn't too far from the examination room. The hallway connecting the two rooms was fairly short, catching a small amount of her curiosity. Framed pictures hanging by the nails pierced through the walls of the wood, some were messages for the doctor while some were historic - well, she thought they were. Mei never forgot about her throbbing arm. She cradled it with her free hand as she was being led to the examination room by the other end of the hallway. She observed every detail of all the objects they managed to pass by, her eyes sparkling in amazement and wonder. The scenery behind the closed window when the curtains were drawn back was a beautiful sight. It felt like being a part of an amazing artist's artwork. The sun was still shining brightly with its big smile, the clouds accompanying the light blue sky that showed light for the living organisms below them, never leaving them in the dark where anything can happen. She listened to the doctor's orders, nodding with an "oh!" as she sat on the metal table. She shivered when the icy-cold feeling from the table crawled to her thighs. She felt her lips curl upwards, showing a small smile as she tried conversing with the doctor. "If I may ask, what is your name? I'm Mei, Mei Rin. Looks like I'm going to be a regular of yours starting today." Edited by Mei, Jul 15 2016, 11:54 PM.
