It doesn't take long for them to reach Sector 7 since the park is closer to the city square, which leads them to a police department branch in the city. Inside, the receptor is greeted with a man familiar to them with a girl that follows the male, as well as the person he carried on his shoulder. Woe to their eyes, as another suspect has been captured for sexual harassment, as well as escaping parole duty when released. It looks like he won't be going anytime soon after the recent stunt made. "Yo! Just got someone that'll sit." He lets go of the unconscious harasser on the reception, leading the receptor to call out several officers stationed. "We got an escaped convict here. Somebody, detain this man!" By her command, a group of police officers has come to carry the man out of their sight. Luckily, the captive was still unconscious at the time. Saves time for the officers to bring the man to a place where he deserves. "Flawless work as always, Zul." The person nods at his work, which actually isn't his own. "Oh, no. The credits goes to this girl here." Zul showed the girl in front of the receptor with a grin. "She got the harasser by the balls first." The police had a feeling of surprise for a girl as young as her is the person to capture that captive. Said captive is described to be wild and unpredictable by their records. Either his luck ran out or she was lucky to do something like this, as well as getting to meet her idol in her free time. "Congratulations, young girl! You truly have the aptitude to become a police officer." The receptor applauded her by her actions in the park. "Tell us, what can we do to pay your deed?" |

By the time they arrived at the police station, Iselleryn's thirst for excitement had been quenched. The motorcycle ride to the station had been brief, but fun; she had felt hyped every time they raced past other vehicles, and the wind blowing straight in her face as they sped up. She was even pondering on asking the officer to drop her off somewhere close to home, just so she could have that experience once more. ...That second time, without the unconscious molester constantly reminding her why she was boarding a motorcycle. Fortunately, he was taken away under a lady's orders just as soon as they stepped into the building. It was that brief time when she felt relief, which soon dissipated once the male officer credited her with subduing the convict. The young woman could feel the surprise in others' gazes, particularly in the receptor's, who even praised her and offered to reward her. Payment? She had never heard about civilians being rewarded like that... Suddenly, she felt uncomfortable. "I only did the right thing, there's no need to... Though, to be honest, I did go a little further than I should have. All I would like to do is give a witness report, privately." After finishing her statement, she eyed the receptor, then the officer. Her hands were crossed in front of her as she hoped her request would be granted; testifying around anybody else would only serve to increase her nervousness. "On a side note... I'm actually legal." That was one thing she needed to get straight. |

Strange, yet a straightforward request was given to both him and the receptor. Instead of a replenishable reward such as money or an item, she requests for a witness report. Privately, with the ghostwalker himself. Without haste, the receptor put up with her special request by providing her with one of the interrogation room for use with her report. "Of course, we do have one of the rooms for you to fulfill your witness report." The receptor then shows the direction of the said location. "Just go straight ahead, through the office and pass through your right. That's where the room is." Now that they have been given directions, it was time for them to move. Zul gestured Ise behind her to follow him by pulling his head to the front of him after looking at her. It was a short trip passing through the office, however, with the people busy filing in cases or reports via desktop with office-made specs in their computer. Passing through the right like she said, there was two interrogation room. None has been used so far. The ghostwalker took one of the rooms on the left. Inside, there's only two foldable chairs with a large metal table in between with only a light bulb illuminating the room. He closed the door and take a seat with the girl. "..What're you wanna talk about?" |

Iselleryn entered the interrogation room after the officer, but then she rushed to the closest chair and took her seat as he closed the door. Observing him some more as he seated himself opposite her, she crossed her hands on the table and took some time to calm herself. It was her choice to report the events, after all; she was compelled to give it her best shot, especially since she desired to work as an officer herself. Soon, she was ready. Eyes focused on her 'audience', a composed look on her face, hands holding one another in encouragement. She was ready. With one deep breath, she began. "At my personal request, I will submit a witness report on the events that proceeded the molester's arrest." For the most part, it was a good start. Her serious stance far contrasted her youthful appearance, but that was actually the last thing on her mind. "It all began in the same park, estimated 30 to 90 minutes ago. Please excuse me, I was not keeping track of time, so please take this estimate with a grain of salt." Breath. "I had barely arrived in the park for a daytime walk; it was a free day, after all. While walking rather absent-mindedly, I bumped into that person, the molester - and then his hand plastered itself onto my body, and attempted to move lower. With a small grin on his face." A smaller pause, barely enough for another breath. She could not allow herself to be agitated anymore. "On that first time, I believed he wouldn't do it again. So he got off lightly with a stomp on his foot, a slap and a warning. But... not too long, afterwards, he repeated his act. This time, the target was another woman. She had it worse, too..." The white-haired female pouted slightly to maintain her composure, and resumed: "Some passers-by pried him off of her, and then I stepped in to take care of him. Granted, we wrestled and he pushed me away at some point, but I managed to subdue him. Fueled by his insults. He even called himself a 'man'... Tch. Disgusting rat." Her personal comment was just itching to come out, and it did as a mutter. "At any rate, that was when I pinned him against the tree and waited for reinforcements. And then, you arrived at the crime scene... The report concludes here. Feel free to ask more questions, but that pretty much ties the entire incident." Her formal composure was part of her attempts to be efficient, as she had determined that it would be a necessary future skill. |

"I know. Someone told me about it." The timeline given to the male was, unfortunately, already known to him beforehand. Although the information was unneeded, her style of presentation was detailed to the point of being given a time of incident, efficient in her intonation. The reports was already good when meetings, but in truth, the law enforcement doesn't look for her caliber judging by her talents which leads the male to spill the truth about the requirement to join the organization. "The reporting was good, only if you're looking to file all the reports on desk and not outside.." He paused before continuing. "You see, we're not looking for someone efficient, we're looking for someone who can think about the right and wrong and someone who can dispense justice the way it supposed to be." Zul stared at the girl. "Don't get me wrong, you got the skills to be one of us just like her said. I just want to know about HOW can we take you as one of us. How are you suitable for the Cabinet." The interrogation starts now. The ghostwalker has become serious as he kept staring down her neck with a gaze full of intent. "Let's cut to the chase here. Why do you want to join us?" The officer's question was rather untimely, but Iselleryn had expected it to pop up, sooner or later. Having prepared herself for an application the next day, of course she would be ready to answer. Maintaining her previous composure, she fixed her posture so that she would be able to look the male straight in the eye; it was, after all, an occasion for which she needed to give her best shot. "My reasoning is simple. I desire to protect civilians and maintain peace, at least within the city of Avalon." Her beginning was pretty solid, yet some words were escaping her. "Now, you may wonder: what lies beneath my wish? This was a difficult question for me to answer, too. I may not seem like it, but combat and training have taken up a significant proportion of my twenty years of life. I could even apply for the military, if I wished so. However... that is not the case." A brief pause ensued as some memories flooded her mind. An explanation was due, and she needed to deliver it efficiently, but without sharing too much sensitive information about herself. "In short, war raised me. Both as a civilian, and as a soldier. As a child, I killed without the ability to tell good apart from evil. In my teens... I had gained that ability, and joined the fray to end all wars. But peace required more war. And that war claimed part of me. Not only my soul, but also my body." To prove her point, she abruptly rose from her seat and pulled her trouserlegs upwards. From beneath the denim fabric, a leg-shaped metallic structure was exposed, in place of human flesh and bone. "It took me two years to realise that, despite the toll, I wanted to maintain that hard-earned peace, but in a manner which would allow me to protect those from those of ill intent. And three more years to shape myself up for it. At this rate, combat is the one thing I'm best at... But now, with both desire and the means to fulfill it, I feel more complete than ever." Stopping to regain her breath, Iselleryn also utilised those moments to return to her seat and regain her posture. When she peered into the officer's eyes again, she felt relieved that she had, for once, managed to share her burdens of life experiences with someone. "I would be a whole lot more than honoured to be granted this chance I worked so hard to prepare for. Please, do try to take it into consideration. I am willing to sacrifice everything for it." |

Looks like she doesn't join the forces out of fun or excitement. She has a purpose for enlisting herself into the ranks of Civil Protection, primarily because of her skills and determination that can be used in the Cabinet's. Her experience is that of the ghostwalker, although from a different kind of experience in the war. The only similarity that they share is their loss. "Cool story... not gonna say sorry about it.." Zul remarked on her story. "But I'm not gonna deny everything you've been through. I've been through the same." He took a brief pause before continuing. "You and I, we're both veterans of the past. I'm surprised you've gone through Hell and came back like this. Gotta say, I'm impressed." The ghostwalker gave a smile before frowning back, this time a sharp gaze was intent. "I've been through several suicide missions and came back with the skin of my teeth. I've seen things that people shouldn't be seeing in the first place, with the skin constantly breaking down." He points at his eye, worn and reddish. "This is the eye of a battle-scarred veteran whose been and seen through shit, and I'm glad they didn't peck my eyes out of my head. Otherwise, I'll still be seeing things again." When she has openly displayed her prosthesis, she can be trusted to understand. The male pulled part of the shirt's collar to the right, revealing a scar that has been stitched with it's vein growing underneath that connects the bloodstream from his arm to the whole body. "This is how a legend supposed to be like. Broken, scarred and anger beyond belief." He continued. "I can't die." Zul released the collar to hide the scars back in his shirt. "But this isn't the thing that'll stop me, oh no. The truth is, no matter how much we save the world from annihilation, these people never seems to appreciate us warriors of our daily work. Ridiculed, mocked, chided.. hell, I've been spat on my face when I came back from those kids who call themselves 'future'. Yeah, the future would be filled with ungrateful fucks alright." Due to rage, he raised his voice while telling her his story. "While they sleep on the mattress in their own home, we were sleeping on the FUCKING GROUND out in the dirtiest place on Earth. If that kid cries to their mommy about being bullied, I'd say try putting yourselves in a warzone while your friends were killed in the most cruelest way Satan would be happy about. I just survived a battle where I would be risked of my existence, and when I came back, this is what I got? This is something I deserve from the peoples that I protect? Being chided upon for saving the world for their own STUPID reason, and being spat on my face for being a soldier?! Well, I'd say they can shove their dick up their throat and SUFFOCATE BECAUSE THEY SHOULD GO TO FUCKING HELL!!!" The impending rage ended with his fist banged on the metal table, shocking the room with it's sheer impact. Surely, his actions might scare the person whom only wanted to work for the Cabinet and property damage claims isn't something he is fond of paying. He took a seat to calm his head down, letting all the stories mixed with profanities flow inside the room. "Sorry... I got too carried away again..." Zul tried to forgive himself for his actions just then. Edited by Zul Ariffin, Jul 23 2016, 06:56 AM.

Such an explosive narration, filled with such scorn and anger, was not exactly what Iselleryn had in mind. Her eyes widened in surprise as the officer, overtaken by his emotions, went on to vent... ending with him slamming his fist against the table. Her heart skipped a beat, it was by far the worst stun she had received. But deep inside, she knew he was right. It was the truth. Ordinary people refused to envision what those fighters always endured, to spare them from a living hell. She, personally, couldn't blame them; different people had different life experiences. However, she disagreed on the comparison between common citizen and soldier, as they literally were like day and night. Unsure of how to respond to him, she maintained a softer gaze on him. A big chunk of her had been touched; she felt the urge to comfort him, to reach forward and touch his hair or something like that. But the rest, disagreed with such an approach. She had just witnessed why some people could be scared of him, after all. Yet, she was far from afraid of him, so she just went through with it. "Don't worry about it, we all need to vent at times", she eventually responded in a rather shaky, low voice. Just then, the corner of her eye caught some movement outside... Without turning her head, she glanced sideways. And barely held herself back from cringing. Several male officers wearing the standard Civil Protection uniform had stopped right outside the room, and were peering at the two of them intrusively. The short woman withdrew her hand and shifted in her seat uncomfortably; she could sense some impure intent coming from those pairs of eyes. "Sir... is it their habit to stare like that, as though they've never seen an outsider in their lives?" Her question came out as a mutter, so that only the male sitting opposite her would hear. But her disgust was apparent, even in such a small voice. To top it off, she didn't know how to call him; he had yet to share a name. Or, at the very least, she couldn't remember hearing it. The imploding rage led to the two officers came investigating the room. And at the same time, he could feel her hand touching the head, the soft skin rubbing the hair strands. Her muttering spells antipathy; with the officers now leering at the two individuals on their 'interrogation' session, it was time to put them into their place. "Just a moment...", he said. He pulls the chair backwards, making it easy for him to move away from the edges of the table then march forward to where they stand. Every step he took was intimidating for them, even for a well-trained officer, causing them to back off immediately and walk away from the interrogation room. Zul sighed at the two and get back in the said room, closing the door before staring at her. "Now you know." He proved his point towards her before getting back on topic after shooing them. "You see, being a cop isn't just about shooting people, arresting others and preserving peace like they promised. You gotta file out all the paperworks, interrogate people - like me and you - here, understand them, solving cases, yadda yadda yadda, you get the idea." He continued. "Though I noticed that you'll be bored just being a normal cop. I'd say you'll join one of us, and we'll guarantee you all the actions you want. And even more so.." Zul pulls his face in to whisper. "..you'll be the Prime Minister's secret service." He took a break from his suggestion, letting her to decide. "How about it?" Edited by Zul Ariffin, Jul 23 2016, 11:21 AM.

The moment the interrogating officer rose from his seat and approached the door, all 'curious' officers outside froze in a small panic, before immediately leaving the premises. Iselleryn couldn't help but chuckle lightly as they all rushed off - to their offices, she would like to presume. However, they didn't exactly look like the type of person who would do their job diligently. As he returned to his seat, she reassumed her formal posture... but another chuckle made its way out of her lips. It took her a few seconds to calm down from that. "Please excuse me, sir, I've never witnessed something like this before", she apologized quickly, right before he opened his mouth to speak. It was an explanation as to why she would be bored of her life if she became a normal cop, but as he spoke, she did notice him leaning closer. Curiously, she peered at him... ...And then he leaned into her ear and whispered. Her ears alone couldn't believe what she had just heard. "The Prime Minister's... Secret Service?" Her voice was kept to a whisper while he was still close. She had not heard about any Secret Service before; now that had piqued her interest. "Please tell me more about it before I decide. I didn't even know such a body existed. It's kind of unfair to be forced to decide when uninformed... y'know?" |
