Samus and Caydin followed suit, awed by the spectacle as well. There were 3 coushins on the floor, for them to sit on, and as they reached the front, Old Bird instructed them to sit, with a gesture. Once they were seated, he cleared his throat, and looked about the hall. The other elders were seated behind Old Bird, the rest of the chozo seated about the hall, some on hover pads, others seated in chairs.

"Fellow Chozo, we are gathered here this day, to celebrate a momentus occasion. Fifteen years have passed sence these hatchlings.." He said, indicating the 3 infront of him. "Were brought to Zebes. We have raised them as our own, and, after so long, the time has come that they can no longer be called hatchlings. Indeed, they have grown into full grown adults." He said, stopping a moment to catch himself, as he was becoming quite emotional. "As is deemed nessasary by our customs, I come here to bear witness to you all, they have diligently learned our ways, been tought our laws, and have saught to uphold them. They are indeed worthy of their wings." He stopped again, moving a handkerchief to his eyes a moment, before continuing. "What say you all, are any among you finding reason to withhold their wings, and therefore their adulthood, from them?"

The whole of the chozo population fell silent then, not a single one saying a word.

Breana sat silently, her heart thumping in her chest as the silence deafened her ears partially, as well as her own heartbeat. This is it - The Big one - the one we've been waiting for. she thought
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."
"No, that wasn't-"
But she was already pouring him a brimming glass of spiders.

Samus and Caydin were in similar sorts, as the sudden quiet bothered them too.

Old Bird looked around the room a few times, giving ample opportunity for any and all to speak. Finally, when it was clear that noone had anything to say, he began to speak once more.

'Then, it is with great pleasure...no, honor, that I present to you the newest hatchlings to enter adulthood. Samus, Caydin, and Breana!"

At that, the entire hall erupted into cheers and applause, the normally stoic Chozo letting themselves enjoy the moment fully.

Breana flushed as the crowd applauded, the sounds echoing through the halls, filling her with pride as well.
Officially an Adult now... She thought with a smile.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."
"No, that wasn't-"
But she was already pouring him a brimming glass of spiders.

Old Bird himself applauded as well, letting his tears of pride flow freely now.

Samus strained back tears of joy. /Don't cry....don't cry.../ She thought to herself, as she smiled, looking around the hall.

Caydin smiled broadly, full of pride. /Been waiting for this for too long./ He thought to himself.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, the cheering and applause grew silent once more. Old Bird lifted 3 hand carved wooden boxes and moves closer to the three, before speaking again.

"Long ago, our anscestors lost the use of their wings. Soon after, they escaped their home planet, and took to the stars, soaring far from their dieing world, to find a new home. Sence then, it has been the custom to give a suit of armor, and starship, to all Chozo who become adults, so that they may soar among the stars, as our people used to soar among the mountaintops. We now continue that tradition, with our newest adults." He said, as he handed each of them a box, and stepped back. "You may open them."

Samus and Caydin slowly and carefully opened the boxes, unsure of exactly what was inside. Suprising, there was a simple bracer made of orange colored metal inside, a glowing green jewel set into the middle.

Breana opened her own box, staring at the elegant bracer within. It took a lot of self-control to keep her from spouting 'What is it?' in front of the Chozo however.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."
"No, that wasn't-"
But she was already pouring him a brimming glass of spiders.

'These.." Old Bird said with pride. "Our your power suits, in their compactd form. Simply place the bracer on your wrist, either one, and conciously call upon your armor, and it shall cover you. You can also control your ships remotly, with these." He said, smiling proudly.

Samus smiled. 'Thank you, Old Bird." She said, not using her normal name for him, as she began to slip the bracer on. Old Bird thought this unusual, but said nothing, assuming it must be her show of respect in this ceremony.

Caydin was grinning broadly, like a little boy who had just gotten a new toy, and wass carefully slipping the bracer onto his left arm.

Breana pulled the bracer on until it was snugly fit onto her wrist.
"This... This is a wonderful gift Old Bird." she said softly.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."
"No, that wasn't-"

"It is not just from me, Breana. Every chozo here had some small part in making it, or your ships." He said, taking a few steps back.

Then, without warning, the entire congregation of chozo rose to their feet, even the eldest. As one, they moved their hands out to the sides, and then swept them forewards, and to their chests, bowing slightly, saluting the 3 humans that stood before them, as equals.

Caydin and Samus were completely caught off guard by this, Samus's lip quivering and a few tears falling, Caydin's mouth simply hanging open.

Breana flushed again, frozen with pride and accomplishment, as she shakily saluted the elders back.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."

Caydin and Samus snapped out of it, and bowed as well, after a moment or two. The elders quickly retook their seats, as did everyone else.

The formal part of the ceremony now complete, the Chozo began to come one by one, forming a line in the process, and congratulate the 3, wishing them happiness, wellbeing, and prosperity. It took nearly an hour, before the last of the elders had filed past, offering his well wishes, and bits of advice. The 3 were now left alone in the ceremonial hall, with just Old Bird.

"You three.." he began, stepping foreward. "Have made this old bird swell with pride, this day." He said softly, begining to tear up again.

Caydin smiled, and put a hand on his shoulder, while Samus took his handkerchief and slowly dried his eyes. "Oh...Old Bird...stop or I'll cry too..." She said softly, begining to tear up.

Breana was silent, tears already flowing from the immense pride she felt, wiping at her eyes slightly as well.
"Y...You honour us greatly with these gifts Old Bird."
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"

Old Bird nodded, smiling. Before he could say more, Mother Brain's drone flew into the room. "Elder Old Bird, I bring grave news."

Old Bird's face furrowed hiw brow, turning the the drone. "Yes, go on."

"I have just completed analysis of a flower specimine brought by Breana. The sample is not found anywhere in the cataloged Zebes fauna, making it alien to the environment. Further tests show that any native Zebesian creature exposed to the flower will, over time, mutate, and become more viscious than normal. A complete and utter destruction of all known samples is suggested for-"

Samus cut the drone off. "No, we can't destroy those plants, they have done nothing wrong!" She said, vehemently.

"It is unwise-" Mother Brain began again, but was cut off again by Samus.

"I don't care, NOONE is going to harm those flowers, Mother." She said, and then stormed off.

Old Bird narrowed his eyes slightly, he didn't like this one bit. "Breana, Caydin, would you be willing to aid Mother Brain with this?" He asked

"Yeah...Sure, I'll help." Caydin said slowly, his eyes fixed on the door Samus had just left from, being followed by the drone.

Breana was hesitant for a bit, biting at her lip for a few moments. She thought of the flowers for a moment, remembering how elegant and simple they were. There wasn't any way that these flowers could be as deadly as Mother Brain suggested... could they?
She shook her head slightly. "I-I'm sorry, but I just... I don't think I could help with something so wantonly destructive."
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."

Old Bird nodded. "Your choice is your own, I do not hold it against you." He said, before looking to Caydin. "Confer with Mother Brain, she should send a drone to you." He said.

Caydin nodded, and looked to Breana. "Zebes is our home...we can't just let the environment be destroyed. I'm sorry." He said softly, before turning and leaving the ceremonial hall, in search of a drone.

Breana looked at Caydin for a moment, smiling lightly after a few moments.
"Thank you Caydin." she said lightly.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"

Caydin turned, and nodded to her, before heading off once more to find a drone.

~~

Samus hadn't been in her room when Breana returned, one could only assume she must have gone out to the flower feild. Caydin had left not long after, to do his job, and hopefully calm Samus down. Breana was left alone in her room, for the moment.

Breana looked to the entrance of her room, back at her bracelet, then back at the entrance.
"This is getting out of hand." she said, exiting her room, wearing the bracelet, heading for the flower fields again."
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."
"No, that wasn't-"

Noone tried to stop her on the way, though Breana got the odd feeling she was being watched.

Remaining out of sight, one of Mother Brain's drones followed her quietly.

~~

As Breana neared the feilds, she could see black smoke rising from them.

Breana cursed under her breath. Ignorance... The leading cause of wanton destruction. She thought as she broke into a sprint.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."

The sight that met Breana's eyes was horrific to say the least. Patches of the flower feild had been set ablaze by a pair of skirmishing fighters, still trading fire amidst the hellish scene. One was clad in an orange and red chozo power suit, the other, a much larger being, was clad in a red chozo power suit with blue accents. THe larger of the combatants was obviously being bested at every turn by the smaller, more agile one, who continued to avoid fire and return it, keeping a constant distance between itself and the larger, stronger, opponent.

A glint of metal off to the side pulled Breana's attention from the fight. It was one of Mother Brain's drones, watching the conflict, but otherwise doing nothing.
