And, this merely proves I put WAY too much thought into my video games (copy-pasted from MSN): ((Warning, spoilers abound for Metroid Players)) Ing Vs. Metroids As we see with the Metroids, they are fairly instinctually driven, but have a major task at hand - simply put, gather energy, whether it be for food, or for their Queen - Metroid Prime. This simplistic set of commands grants the metroids an appearance in terms of organization like that of a giant bee hive. Due to the Hive Structure of the Metroids, this simply furthers my theory on Metroid Prime being the 'Queen' and therefore, female. The Ing though... they're a bit different, The Ing are not quite Gatherers like the Metroids. In fact, the only thing that may be remotely a form of gatherer, would be the weird Ing 'presence' that simply infects non-Ing beings, converting the weak-willed to become their slaves But, something of interest that I noticed on their behaviour I walked in a room, and down near the bottom, there was a fairly large Ing Puddle. They didn't move though until I neared them, spawning several Warrior Ing. This leads to a rather... interesting idea... The Ing, while certainly higher up on the food chain than that of many creatures on Aether, are not predators. Not the traditional kind at least, they attack you when they are provoked - such as when you get close to them. The Ing are Terretorial predators. In the simplest ways, the Ing are basically, in the nicest way possible, saying 'Get the hell off our turf, or we'll stab you' And now, the interesting part. Looking at bosses from other Metroid games... Mother Brain(Metroid)... Queen Metroid(Metroid 2)... Mother Brain(Super Metroid)... ...Mother Brain again in Zero Mission, Metroid Prime(...Metroid Prime), Omega Metroid (Metroid Fusion) (High on the caste list, so most likely female) Note: I'm deliberately excluding Dark Samus, since I'm fairly certain she's probably going to be Metroid Prime 3's final boss maybe Now, we have Emperor Ing... Who, in its behaviour in terms of seeing your presence as a territorial turf war, its tendancy to send mooks after you before ultimately trying to deal with you one-on-one in a way to prove that it is in fact the toughest creature around - and to boost its ego that a being like you could possibly prove stronger than the hordes of the Ing... Is our first decidedly Male final boss in Metroid history |

[What, the giant spiked tentacles of hentai rape didn't make that clear enough?] :P [Come to think of it though....Metroid Prime 2's boss fights are almost ALL multi-segment fights. At least the main big ones.] [Anyhoo, I guess of the Metroids are like a hive, then the Ing are like a pride of lions?] [BTW, thanks for posting this here....I honestly did not get a chance to read that yesterday.] |

Yep, and the X are simply locusts. ----------------- On another note, I sucked it up and broke my 'never read manga online' rule this morning, in realizing that Rozen Maiden's continuation manga isn't likely to be released in North America any time soon (Considering there are thusfar, three volumes, having started in March 2008...), I went to Mangafox and actually started reading the second series - subtitled 'How to Make a Girl' Overall, it's actually pretty interesting - And Suigintou actually appears for more than two pages at a time! Huzzah! And yes, this manga is why I have that new subtitle in my signature - Shinku and Suigintou got into a major catfight (or would you call it dollfight?) and badly tarnished their outfits. It was kinda interesting to actually see Suigintou without her headband though =p. Before you smack me - there were towels over them, I kept my fantasizing to a minimum so ha. |

Built a new evil MtG deck. Here are the contents: W = White Mana B = Black Mana T = Tap X = Colourless mana B/W = Multicoloured Mana (Can be paid with either Black or White mana in this case) Lifelink: Whenever this creature deals damage, you gain that much life Flying: This creature can only be blocked by other creatures with flying Vigilance: Attacking doesn't cause this creature to tap First Strike: This creature deals its combat damage first Protection from X: Cannot be Damaged, Enchanted, Blocked or Targetted by X (DEBT) Card format: Number of Cards, Card Name, Cost, Type, Attack/Toughness(If Creature), Card Text LANDS: 9x Plains, Basic Land, (T: Add W to your mana pool) 9x Swamps, Basic Land (T: Add B to your mana pool) 4x Terramorphic Expanse, Land (T: Sacrifice Terramorphic Expanse. Search your deck for a basic land card and put it into play tapped. Shuffle your library afterwards) CREATURES: 4x Soul Warden, W, Creature - Human Cleric, 1/1 (Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, you gain 1 life) 4x Soul's Attendant, W, Creature - Human Cleric, 1/1, (Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, you may gain 1 life) 3x Child of Night, 1B, Creature - Vampire, 2/1, (Lifelink) 3x Mourning Thrull, 1B/W, Creature - Thrull, 1/1, (Flying, Lifelink) 2x Divinity of Pride, B/W B/W B/W B/W B/W, Creature - Spirit Avatar, 4/4, (Flying, Lifelink, Divinity of Pride gets +4/+4 as long as you have 25 or more life) 2x Felidar Sovreign, 4WW, Creature - Cat Beast, 4/6 (Vigilance, Lifelink, During your upkeep, if you have 40 or more life, you win the game) 1x Baneslayer Angel, 3WW, Creature - Angel, 5/5 (Flying, First Strike, Lifelink, Protection from Demons and Dragons) SPELLS: 4x Angel of Mercy, 2WW, Sorcery, (You gain 7 Life) 4x Rest for the Weary, 1W, Instant, (Target player gains 4 Life. Landfall - If a land enters the battlefield under your control, Target player gains 8 life instead) 4x Diabolic Tutor, 2BB, Sorcery, (Search your deck for a card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library afterwards) 4x Sanguine Bond, 3BB, Enchantment, (Whenever you gain life, you may have target opponent lose that much life) 2x Solemn Offering, 2W, Instant, (Destroy target Artifact or Enchantment, you gain 4 life) ARTIFACTS: 1x Eternity Vessel, Artifact, 6 (Eternity Vessel comes into play with X Charge counters on it where X is your current life total. Landfall - If a land enters the battlefield under your control, you may have your total life become the number of charge counters on Eternity Vessel) ---------------------------------------- THE BASIC IDEA: Finally, the Lifegainers in Magic have a reason other than having a near-infinite amount of life to keep raising their life. With the Feldinar Sovreign's effect, they merely need to get to 40 or more, and maintain that amount until their turn starts to instantly claim victory. And with every card, with the exception of land, involves raising one's life total. Divinity of Pride, Feldinar Sovreign and Baneslayer Angel are heavy-hitting Lifegainers, and are good at getting the life totals up in teh lategame, while Children of Night and Mourning Thrulls make for easy early-game lifegain. The Soul Wardens/Soul's Attendants are easy to get out, only costing One White mana, and start the flow of life immediately. The Eternity Vessel is for locking one's life above 40, so that one can take a serious hit, and then activate Terramorphic Expanse with Feldinar on the field to claim victory. Of course, there's an evil evil twist to this deck, and that lies in the enchantment Sanguine Bond. Just one of these cards causes a world of hurt for the opponent - Summoning creatures while Soul Wardens/Attendants are on the field causes pain to them, Those cards made to raise my life now cause that life to come from the opponents, and Lifelinkers (read: ALL the attacking creatures) now have their lethality tripled (They deal their max damage when blocked - which means my life goes up, and the opponent's life drains. If unblocked, they take double the creature's attack to their life) And what happens when two Sanguine Bonds come out? Or even three? 1 life gained for me means anywhere from 1-4 life drained from the opponent. With four Sanguine Bonds, a single Angel's Mercy or Rest for the Weary can end the game if they haven't been raising their life. |

Wish I had an actual copy of the card =/ I scoured the card shops in town to grab a few of those cards. The ones I couldn't get: -2x Felidar Sovreigns -1x Divinity of Pride -3x Sanguine Bonds Everything else I found. Including the bloody Eternity Vessel! (It's a Mythic Rare, like the God Kitteh) So, yay, My deck has proxies in it. |

Terminator 2 Theme - Performed by Austrian Death Machine Group's pretty awesomely silly, in that their songs (and majority of their lyrics) are lyrics from Arnold films (Some of their songs include 'I am a Cybernetic Organism - Living Tissue over Metal Endoskeleton', 'Get to da Choppa', 'Conan, What is Best in Life?', 'I need your Clothes, your Boots, and your Motorcycle' and, of course 'Come with me if you want to Live') And all of it is in the glorious name of METAL. |

Ok, the weirdest thing just happened. I was playing Saint's Row 2 a bit, and decided, after trying a bit of clothing shopping (the place had nothing good though) to just plain rob the clothing store. So, naturally, the guy, his hadns up, goes to the back to open the safe and get me money. He opens it, I pop his head ( Can't leave witnesses after all) and look at the safe. Thus, two strange things happened. First - the money had glitched and was stuck to the wall of the safe. I couldn't collect it, because it wasn't lying flat (money is weird like that) So, I decided to have the brilliant idea of shooting the safe. Then comes the second strange thing: The Safe shuddered, rose off the ground, and then flew across the room, smashing me in the face while it did so. I wish I was making this up. I managed to collect the money though - wasn't that much though. |

Ok, so I didn't post pics yesterday - I have a valid reason! In fact, I have several A: It took ages to get my phone because after I went to the one Rogers store, it was revealed that they didn't have one of the ones I wanted, and instead, I would have to go damn-near across town for it. One 30 minute bike ride later, I have it, I have it activated, and angels rejoice and stuff. B: When I got home, I spent some time fiddling with my phone, downloading a few test apps, playing with the settings, etc. Plus, there was also some grocery shopping done so that my Roommate and I could actually eat =p C: The battery life on this thing was only at about half when I got it, and after all my playing... yeah, it woulda been hard for me to do anything like that. D: I re-decorated my room, moving some stuff around, and finally getting my posters up - All with a still stinging shoulder I might add. E: I had Ether over last night as well for some hang-out time, then my roommate and I were up a bit later, chatting about stuff. |
