1995. Month Unknown:
In Highton View Terrace, to a bewildered Tai and Kari Kamiya, an egg emerges from their computer. The egg later hatches and becomes Botamon, which eventually changes to Koromon, then Agumon, and finally Greymon. The digivolution was to do battle with Parrotmon, an evil digimon that came across the worlds. The two digimon left, with 8 children having viewed the event. The damages done to Highton View Terrace during the battle are blamed on a terrorist bombing as the eight children move out.

August 1st-3rd, 1999:
Seven of these eight children attend a summer camp, and are pulled into the digital world. They meet up with their partners, and learn of their roles as the Digidestined while on the small place known as File Island. They are opposed by the dark digimon Devimon, who controls the island with a swath of devices known as Black Gears. Thankfully, Devimon is eventually defeated by the power of Angemon's Fist of Fate.

The Digidestined travel onward in the digital world, and gather forth their respective crests, which would enable their digimon to digivolve to a farther stage - the Ultimate stage. During their search, they are confronted by Etemon - An Ultimate Level Digimon. During their struggles, Greymon digivolves to MetalGreymon, and defeats Etemon - Unfortunately, due to the power exuded by Etemon, a rift was temporarily opened, sending Tai and Koromon back to the Real World.

The time in the Real World is cut short as the two were tossed back into the digital world, where they learned their friends had all split off. Upon rejoining each other, they learned that a new foe - Myotismon - was now looking for dominion of the digital world. Possessing the eighth crest, he left for the Real World, on a hunt for the eighth digidestined. The Digidestined pursued him, and, after learning of their new ally, they did battle with Myotismon, striking him down with the holy light of AngeWoman's celestial arrow.

However, Myotismon was not quite defeated. Before long, he had re-emerged in a form known as VenomMyotismon - A Mega-Level, far beyond the power of the Ultimate forms the digidestined had access to. However, thanks to the power of an ancient prophecy, Agumon and Gabumon were able to assume Mega-Level forms as well - those of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. The combined might of these digimon was able to destroy the VenomMyotismon... But all was not well in the Digital World.

In the absence of the Digidestined, the Digital World had gone under the control of terribly powerful Digimon known as the Dark Masters. Not only that, but they had reformatted the digital world into a hideous amalgamation of land known as Spiral Mountain. The Digidestined returned to the Digital world, and defeated the Dark Masters - MetalSeadramon, Puppetmon, Machinedramon and finally, Piedmon, one by one. With each defeated digimon, Spiral Mountain lost more and more stability, each part vanishing before the DigiDestined's very eyes.

Alas, this was still not all... A being from beyond the Wall of Fire emerged, born from the despair and dark thoughts of digimon that had failed to digivolve. The being was known as Apocalymon, and his strength was vast compared to that of the Digidestined. He nearly defeated them, almost destroying the entire dimension of the Digital World with his final attack - Total Annihilation. The power of the digivices though contained the blast, and destroyed Apocalymon once and for all. The time shift that had been occurring between the worlds had now ceased, re-syncing the worlds properly.

The Digital World had been saved.

March 2000:
A virus attacks a digi-egg created on the Internet, which then hatches, and becomes a being which devours data for food. The being was fought by the Digidestined Izzy, Tai, Matt, and T.K., but the single digimon proved too powerful, defeating them all, and then digivolving to the powerful Diaboromon. Diaboromon proved to even be powerful - even overpowering WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon at once. After defeating them, Diaboromon multiplied himself, creating millions of copies and launched two nuclear missiles, targeting Obaida and Colorado, with the intention of wiping out the Digidestined. However, Diaboromon was eventually defeated by the combined digivolution of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon into Omnimon.

The Real World had been saved.

April 2003 to December 31st 2003:
The Digital world is in peril once again, as a being known as the Digimon Emperor takes over he digital world, using a digivice that sends signals through towers called Control Spires which prevents evolution. Three new Digidestined are appointed, and granted new versions of the Digivice - dubbed the D-3. The new Digidestined - Davis, Yolei and Cody, learn of an ancient type of digivolution known as Armour Evolutio, which can bypass the signals of the control spires, allowing the new digidestined to fight this new threat.

The Digimon Emperor is eventually revealed to be a boy known as Ken Ichijouji, and was controlling Digimon with the power of devices known as Dark Rings and, eventually, Dark Spirals. After Kimeramon, one of Ken's experiments, broke loose and nearly killed him, Ken, who was then appointed as a Digidestined, turned over a new leaf, and joined the main Digidestined.

A complication had arisen. Despite Ken no longer using Control Spires and his Dark Rings to control innocent digimon, there was still foreign activity in the digital world. Evil digimon were appearing and running rampant, causing damage that the Digidestined were trying to fix. Two new threats surfaced - those known as Arukenimon and Mummymon, who were converting Control Spires into Digimon under Arukenimon's control.

Arukenimon and Mummymon eventually escaped to the Real World, where they continue their reign of terror under the rule of a main named Oikawa - who had created Mummymon and Arukenimon from his own DNA. The group was using various digimon to spread seeds known as 'Dark Spores' among children, wanting to use them to harvest energy so that Oikawa could go to the Digital world himself. The Digidestined, with power granted from the digimon Azulongmon, were able to have their partners digivolve further to their ultimate forms, and even realized the power of DNA Digivolution - identical to the method that brought forth Omnimon.

Eventually, a complication arose. Oikawa had moved to the dimension between the Digital World and the Real world - a dimension of dreams, of fantasy, where he began harvesting the Dark Spores that had blossomed while in the Dream Dimension. With enough energy, Oikawa then began to change, and the true mastermind behind the plot had emerged - the beast of 4 years ago, Myotismon, had been harvesting the energy for himself, to grow into a new form - MaloMyotismon.

Malomyotismon was a powerful foe, capable of locking many of the Digidestined in a mental illusion of their greatest dreams and nightmares. However, the group broke free from the illusion, and, using the power of the dream dimension, as well as their own hopes and dreams, the Digidestined of the entire world defeated MaloMyotismon once and for all.

The Digtal World, and the Real World had been saved.

March 2004:
It had been discovered that Diaboromon's data had not been truly destroyed, and was instead, slowly gathering data, eventually sending itself out in many individual Kuramon. Omnimon was sent to the source of the Kuramon in order to defeat Diaboromon, but it was too late - Diaboromon had escaped, and by using the data of all the collected Kuramon, had digivolved into the unstoppable Armageddamon. Not even the might of Omnimon could stop this beast. It wasn't until Imperialdramon appeared in Fighter Mode, that some progress was made, but it wasn't enough. Finally, despite being defeated, and weak, Omnimon transferred his power to Imperialdramon, and allowed him to Digivolve into Imperialdramon Paladin Mode. With one final slash, the beast Armageddamon was no more.

The Real World had been saved once again.

2027: Month Unknown:
The Eight Original Digidestined return to the Digital World for a reunion to reminiscence on their adventures. They are pleased with all that they had accomplished. Their partners enjoy their company. Many of the Digidestined have achieved what they have wanted to.

November 25th 2030: ... The Event...

-------------------------------------------
The world was a different place. Digimon and humans alike would get along well. Occasionally, an evil digimon would be sighted in the digital world, or even in the real world, but would be dispatched by the Digicorps - A worldwide group which serves as a police agency for both worlds. Many of the Digidestined are on standby for this force, in case a stronger digimon comes through. One in particular, Izzu Izumi, acts now as a teacher for younger students on topics such as the history of the Digital world, and how to care for their partners when they received one.

Strangely, no one in his class had received a partner yet, even though they should have received one years prior. Regardless, he still taught them with earnest glee, even on a day when many other Digidestined had decided on a reunion in the Digital World, to get their minds off the approaching cold weather. The events that transpired... would be remembered by Izzy for the rest of his life.
-------------------------------------------------
"Izzy, why don't you just come on over! The weather's wonderful, my tree has finally grown again, and there's even barbecue!" the frantic voice of Tentomon pleaded over a small view screen before Izzy. Izzy smiled lightly, and shook his head.

"Look, Tentomon, while I'd love to come, I have my students to-"

"Kari took the day off to come over, and she teaches at the same school as you!" Tentomon retorted, cutting Izzy off. He folded his arms and stared back at Izzy, before looking out at the view before him. "Just one day - I'll save you a shishkabob!"

"I love the offer, but I have my students to think of... Tell you what - When class is done for the day, I'll come over, and it can just be the two of us - how does that sound?" Izzy added, quickly checking the classroom, where his students were still diligently at work.

"Well... ..." Tentomon let out a sigh. "Well, alright - but not a minute later!" he quipped.

"Alright - see you after class Tentomon," Izzy added, and then closed his computer, returning to his class. He looked over the group of students. Boys and girls all together, anxious to learn. It's good to be a teacher sometimes, Izzy thought as he continued his class.

It was roughly two hours later that Izzy looked to the clock, and decided to close his own book, as he brought out a flat paneled computer monitor. "Kids, since you guys have been good today, I thought you might like to see what the Digital World looks like, " he said, hooking up a few cables to the screen, connecting the other end to his notebook. He tapped away at a few keys, setting up a connection between the computer, and one of the Digivices there - his daughter's.

However, what he saw, rendered him speechless.

The sky of the digital world had darkened considerably, as the several faces seen turned suddenly, looking back with an expression of horror. The view didn't last long, as several of the people began to flee, with the view jerking suddenly, and then looking directly up at the dark sky. The shaking at the edge of the view became obvious - the digivice had fallen.

Izzy stared with horror. N...No... No! he mentally pleaded. as he watched, hearing screams of fear, and seeing the screen shake fervently as the ground near it was shaken by the footsteps of many terrified people. Eventually, almost as a beacon of hope, a hand started to come into view - his daughter's hand. However, too late for him to shout anything, he saw a foot come from the other side, and stamp down hard. A scream was heard.

Izzy stared more, stepping back slowly, tears welling up in his eyes. Eventually, the screen was replaced with static interference, the sillohuette of a figure only barely visible - this being was disrupting the Digivice's signal. A few cracks were also visible in the screen. After a few moments, a voice started to be heard, though heavily distorted, but still understandable.

"Ah... Someone's watching... Excellent... Then you'll be pleased to hear this news: This world? This Digital World that you accursed Digidestined have fought sooo hard to protect in the past... Is mine now. I am taking control, as I have waited long enough. For too long have I sat in waiting... And now, I have my chance... All the Digidestined... Right here... In one place..." the voice said quietly, pausing for a few moments. "I'm going to have some fun... Good Bye, Digi...destined..."

With that, the line cut dead. Izzy shouted "No!" loudly, and went to his computer, tapping at it furiously. "No... No... NO!" he shouted once again, unable to get a connection to the Digital World. He continued like this for a few minutes, before, staring wide-eyed at his screen. He couldn't get through.

With a few quaking steps, Izzy stepped forward, and looked to the class. "Class... is Dismissed." he said solemnly.

The school was closed the next day.

Izzy Izumi's Log: November 27th 2030.
The Digital World continues to be locked off from the Real World... Not only that, but the other Digimon in the Real world seem to have vanished. whether they've gone to the Digital World or not is beyond me. However, I will not give up. I will find a way... I will save my Daughter.

Izzy Izumi's Log: December 25th 2030
Christmas... Funny... I'd be spending time with my family... if it hadn't been stripped from me last month. This still proves to be a tough nut to crack. I could be on an incredible trail, and yet be so far from the goal it's almost laughable. Of course, this is no laughing matter.

Izzy Izumi's Log: April 24th 2032:
My Wife has left me... Though I can understand why... Dawn to dusk, I am trying to crack this case, to no avail. I will continue though. I must be resolute, and never give up! Onto Experiment attempt number 27.

Izzy Izumi's Log: April 25th 2032:
Experiment #27 - Using parts salvaged from a microwave, two cellphones and a toaster. Lost my eyebrows. Failure.

Izzy Izumi's Log: January 14th 2035:
Huh... I got a letter from my wife today... Or rather... Ex-Wife... Regardless, I am not resting any time soon - except right after this update, as I have not slept in almost 73 houuyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyluyl -the rest of the page continues like this for several pages-

Izzy Izumi's Log: December 17th 2035:
Heard Tentomon's Voice again today. Nothing in the refridgerator. Went back to sleep.

Izzy Izumi's Log: May 15th 2036:
Got an e-mail today. I thought it was Tentomon, or my daughter. It was spam. Apparently I'd won an iPod. My ex-wife will enjoy it more than I would, so I replied in her name.

Izzy Izumi's Log: October 15th 2036, 10:53a.m.:
Ripped out another chunk of my hair in frustration. I look half bald now.

Izzy Izumi's Log: October 15th 2036 11:13a.m.:
Problem with baldness solved - shaved the other half of my head. Regretted decision. Going back to work.

Izzy Izumi's Log: November 25th 2037:
Experiment #187 ended in catastrophic failure after the seventh loss of my eyebrows, and also the hair on my right arm. Will abandon the use of toaster parts. They lead to loss of more hair.

Izzy Izumi's Log: March 10th 2038:
Experiment #200 went off today - and I got a single speck of data from the digital world. Just the one though. However, I can use this to further my research, get a hold on the Digital World, and finally... maybe... See Tentomon again. We never got to hang out after that get ogether after all...

Izzy Izumi's Log: June 5th 2039:
The device went off in my face again - I think these things are against the existence of my eyebrows. Hair still hasn't grown back. Noticing flecks of grey as well. Perhaps I shouldn't bother with my hair for a bit - Some things are just more important.

Izzy Izumi's Log: January 1st 2041:
I am so close, I can almost taste it. Not literally though. Working away diligently, but there's just one thing missing...

Izzy Izumi's Log: October 19th 2041:
There go my eyebrows again.

Izzy Izumi's Log: February 16th 2043:
At last. I have finally managed to make a connection. It is stable, consistent, and I can use this to establish an open portal to the Digital world... All I need to do is take the device to a nexus... And I know just the place to take it.

Izzy Izumi's Log: February 20th 2043 10:44 a.m.:
Voice Dictation online. Ah the nostalgia... My device has been brought to the camp. In the years since the event, it has become a memorial park, dedicated to those that were lost during... That event. As I speak, I am setting up my device at the exact point where I once stood 43 years ago. The very first time I went to the digital world I stood... here. Yes, I'm fairly certain it was here... possibly a few inches to the left or right, but either way, this should be close enough to a digital nexus.

The Device is set up, and I'm firing it up now. The device takes a few moments to warm up... but it shall be left on while I am inside. My own Digivice is resonating with the device - clearly a good sign. I'm rather surprised that the device even still works... then again, it is from the Digital world, and I haven't dared to disassemble it. Either way...

The portal is now open. I am going through briefly to the Digital World, to see the damage... maybe even see Tentomon again... I shall return.

Izzy Izumi's Log: February 20th 2043 10:56 a.m.:
I have returned from the Digital World after spending roughly two hours there. However, after checking the current time here, a horrible realization has occurred. For some reason, the time sync has come undone once again. Judging from my calculations... over 10,000 years have passed in the digital world. Whether Tentomon, my daughter, and the others are still alive... I can't say for certain, but the odds are slim. Regardless, I won't give up. I am a Digidestined... and perhaps it's time someone took up the mantle. I have some e-mails I must send now...

------------------------------------------------
Izzy returned to the old Head Quarters of the Digicorp, checking on some old files. It didn't take long before he had assembled a list of E-mails from his old class. Realizing it had been 13 years since he last contact with them, he feared that at least some of them may have given up on the prospect of the Digital World's Existence.

"However... I'm sure that someone will answer..." he said quietly, typing away at his computer, sending identical e-mails to the old class. "At least one of them has to still have faith..." he said as he typed.

Subject: Attention DigiDestined,

Hello my Students

It has been, officially, 13 years since we last saw each other. We were three months into a school curriculum , before I had to cut it short. Maybe you remember the last message that we got from the Digital World. Well, it is time we took the Digital World back. I have now seen it. Wastelands. Vast. Open. Wastelands. There has been little plant growth, and when I entered, it was raining. The sky was as dark as it was 13 years ago... I suspect the sun hasn't peeked out much since... that event.

I expect that many of you have moved on with your lives by now... and I don't even expect many to respond. I don't even need an e-mail response. If you wish to help the Digital World... Come by the old DigiCorp Headquarters. I know it's cold out, but please... The Fate of the Digital World depends on you.

I hope to see you soon.

~Izzy Izumi

Several hours passed before he heard the first to arrive, the soft purr of a motorcycle, and the steady tread of sneakers.

"hello Professor." Danny said inclining his head. "It's been a while. I hope that this is..." he paused reconsidering his words. "I hope this doesn't prove to be a false reading."

Linda stared out the window of the bus she rode on. She hadn't quite yet gotten around to earning her license, but overall, the trip was decent enough. 13 years since last contact... she thought, staring out the window. Let's hope this is for real.

She arrived eventually, spotting a motorcycle out front. Someone else has come... she thought, nodding a bit. She stepped up to the headquarters, spotting Danny on the inside. She was about to speak, but was then cut off when she heard a familiar voice.

"Trust me when I say this... It's not false - I've been there," the slightly gravelly voice of Izzy said from around a corner. He slowly stepped forward.

The years had not been kind to Izzy. Much of his hair was gone, with the hair that remained having grayed. His eyes were sunken a bit, with dark bags under them showing the hours of lost sleep over his work. His stance was a bit low, from the hours of hunching over a computer in desperation.

"It's good to see the both of you..." he said with a weak smile.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."

"Forgive me for being a skeptic, Professor." Danny said with a small smile. "I've been trying to make the connection too, and have had no luck. And I have the best equipment I could borrow from work."

He turned hearing other steps, and ran his eyes over the young woman that was joining them. It took him a moment to place her, and a grin blossomed. "Linda? It's been a while."

Izzy nodded a few times at Danny. "I can understand that... and believe me, it wasn't
easy getting this thing to be even the slightest bit stable," he said, rubbing his forehead a moment.
"I can't count the number of times I lost my eyebrows to these contraptions... I think... 12 at least."

Linda stepped forward a moment, and then quickly backed up to check out the window. "Looks fairly desolate tonight..." she said quietly. stepping away.

Izzy looked over the three, and sighed for a moment. "Well, it's better than nothing I suppose, I was surprised that even one person showed up," he quipped.

"Very well Professor. If you'll lead the way..." Danny said. His fingers tapped the small PC attached to his belt as he mulled over this development. He hadn't considered setting up at a nexus point, and he should have. He was slipping.

Linda shrugged. "I've been working mostly at home..." she said quietly.

Izzy nodded, leading the group into a back room where a large sheet covered what could only be the device itself. The sheet had a number of lumps on it, so the device was likely fairly lopsided and strange. "The Device only works properly at a nexus point - such as the old summer camp, or even Highton View Terrace," Izzy quipped.

Izzy shook his head. "Nooot quite what I was getting at," he said, crossing his arms again.

"Apocalymon was a strange digimon that, because of his presence... he caused a strange time anomaly that caused the time between the digital world and the real world to be altered..." he added with a heavy sigh. "I spent several hours in the digital world... and yet... Well, see for yourself," he added, opening his computer to his journal.

"This is the entry I made before entering..." he said, pointing to an entry. "And this is the one I made after my trip..." he added.

The two entries were mere minutes apart.

"The time anomaly has returned... Meaning that, by my calculations, in terms of the digital world... It has been over 15,000 years."

Linda's jaw dropped.
"Would you like something to drink?" She opened the fridge. "We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper-"
"Spiders?"
"Spiders it is then."
"No, that wasn't-"
But she was already pouring him a brimming glass of spiders.
