BIOLOGY:

Glitch as expected are rather odd when it comes to biology. Glitch are a inorganic species of Sentient Robots. As Robots they technically have no reason to need Air, Food, Sleep, or anything that would normally be associated with life for a Organic species. However, the Makers of the Glitch went into great detail to ensure that the Glitch was a close to organics as possible. The Glitch have sensors built into them that scan the atmosphere around them to see if the air is breathable, if it is found to be hostile to sustaining life the Glitch’s programming will kick in and recreate the effects of the gas on the Glitch, hence why it is possible to suffocate a Glitch or affect them with poison gas.

Glitch also have a very advanced generator in their stomach region. This generator takes whatever the Glitch eats and converts it into energy which is then used to maintain the other energy reliant systems in the Glitchs body. Due to this Glitch are technically able to eat any substance whether it’s organic or inorganic however again due to the Glitchs program they limit themselves to eating ‘normal’ foods. Oddly enough the generator does produce an odd greenish brown goo that needs to be disposed off. This is why many Glitch towns have sewer systems within them. This goo is toxic and has to be handled with care as it takes many years for it to decompose naturally.

Glitch require at least 7 hours of ‘sleep’ or else various programs related to Glitch’s ability to interact with the world around them begin to go haywire, replicating the effects of not sleeping.

Glitch’s all have a set ‘Death Date’ in them upon their ‘birth’. This date can be affected by accidents, how the Glitch lives it life, and other factors. When the ‘Death Date’ is reached all systems in the Glitch shut down and the Glitch ‘dies’.

Despite all this Glitch do have ways around these weaknesses. If the Glitch can find a Glitch Wizard the Wizard would potentially be able to alter the Glitch’s programming, thus allowing a Glitch to be able to operate without breathing, grant it the ability to eat any substance for energy, or even erase the inset ‘Death Date’ potentially allowing a Glitch be able to live forever as long as it can maintain its body.

Glitch lack the ability to express emotion through facial expressions or emotions to other races who are not Glitch, so to help avoid misunderstandings the Glitch as a whole have taken to speaking their emotion or sentence type before each sentence.

Originally all Glitch were bound to a hivemind like network called the Consensus. Overtime, some Glitch became free of this program and became known as ‘The Exiled’ by the Glitch who remain part of the Consensus. There is little difference between a Exiled and a Exile Glitch apart from the fact that Faithful Glitch are more easily able to adapt to technology while Faithful Glitch can use ‘Holy Relics’ left by the Glitch’s Makers.

REPRODUCTION:

The Glitch reproduce in very simple manner. At a time known only to the Glitch

two Glitch, one male and one female, will get together and go to a private

place and build another Glitch. Where the programming for this new Glitch

comes from remains a mystery as the both Faithful and Unbound Glitch guard

this very closely. It is however theorized that the two parent Glitch offer

up parts of their coding into the new Glitch as part of this process.

The New Glitch appears to be built in various different body types each with

its own strengths and weaknesses.

(P) Peasant: The most common and quite frank, Average, of the Glitch builds. In

almost all ways they are identical to an average human in terms of strength,

intelligence, speed, and stamina.

(P) Construction: Built larger and much stronger than average Glitch they suffer

from slower speeds and lower IQs than their fellows.

(P) Scholar: They are built with slimmer builds than others and are much easier

to damage but hold higher IQs than others.

(P+A) Warrior: These are built with thicker more durable chassis and are more

agile than others. They have IQs barely larger than Construction builds,

only enough to understand basic strategy and follow orders from higher

ranked Glitch.

(NP) Cleric: Clerics are built out of Platinum metal but are exactly the same

as other Common Glitch except they are able to easily use the Argent Cross's

'Holy Relics', technology that was left behind by the Makers. They are

arguably more intelligent than 'Scholar' Glitch.

(NP) King: King builds are the most rare and secretive of all the builds. They

are universally have gold plating and the ability to command other Faithful

Glitch except for higher ranked members of the Argent Cross. They are stronger

than average Glitch and very intelligent. To date there has never been a

Unbound King.

(NP) Pope: A mysterious build as no Glitch has ever reported building on yet one always exists to lead the Argent Cross. Very few have seen this build so little data exists on it.

(P)=Players can make characters with these builds, (P+A)=Players can make characters of this build with a App, (NP)=Players can not make characters with this build without specific permission from Staff AND ONLY temporarily.

GLITCH WIZARDS:

((For Events and Backstory ONLY))

Glitch Wizards occupy an odd space in Glitch society. They are equally feared and hated, yet loved and respected, they are not Faithful or Unbound, yet at the same time they are. Currently it is unknown what makes a regular Glitch become a Glitch Wizard, but suddenly and seemingly at random a hidden file will open within a Glitch’s programing. When this file is opened the affected Glitch suddenly becomes Free of the Consensus, yet is able to reconnect and disconnect at will. They also gain unheard of knowledge on Glitch Biology. So much so they are able to access another Glitch’s Data and alter their programming as they see fit and even repair most injuries with random scraps just lying around. This makes a Glitch Wizard the best medic and surgeon for another Glitch in the galaxy. But at the same time this knowledge makes them feared by other Glitch and HATED by the Argent Cross, yet the Argent Cross is unable to eliminate them as the Glitch Wizards as mentioned are the best at fixing and modifying other Glitch.

Glitch Wizards as a whole have attempted to remain Neutral in the Civil War affecting their people. This neutrality has only been broken three times in Glitch History. The first time was when Glitch Wizard Buzzbolt swore allegiance to the Faithful after an Unbound raid ended up killing his family. The second was when Glitch Wizard Bluescreen declared allegiance to the Unbound after he became tired of how the Faithful treated the Unbound. Both of these Wizards were killed under mysterious circumstances within a month of declaring allegiance. The third and most recent time has been the most shocking of all of them. Five separate Wizards declared allegiance to the Evening Stars Empire fifty years ago. The reasoning behind this is still unknown and the Wizards are heavily guarded at all times and rarely leave the Empire. To date the Evening Star Empire has announced there has been 30 attempts to kill the Wizards by unknown assailants, each time after the attack failed the attackers would vanish. To date what the Wizards do for the Evening Star Empire remains a mystery, but the Faithful are outraged the wizards joined a Empire lead by a declared Doom Lord, other Wizards are angered by the break in Neutrality, and the Exiles are angered they joined a Empire that doesn't help more with the Civil War despite being lead by a Glitch and having much of its population being Glitch.

SOCIETY:

Glitch Society is fairly simple. On top of it all is the Platinum Pope, their word is law as far as all Glitch are concerned. It has been stated that if the Platinum Pope declared that the Stars where habitable homes thousands of Faithful Glitch would rush to the nearest Star to try and build a home in its inferno. The lifestyle of the Pope is largely unknown as they are one of the most secretive individuals in the known galaxy. So much so even what the Pope looks like is a mystery.

Glitch Clerics are in a odd spot in the Glitch Hierarchy as they are below the Pope and below Glitch Kings but do have the ability to command Glitch King's in times of need.

Under the Pope is the Glitch King, their word is also law as long as it doesn’t contradict the Popes. Glitch Kings and their courts live rather extravagant lives in their Castles surrounded by the Gold and splendor their race can muster.

Glitch Warriors are what makes up most of a Glitch King’s Court. Many are seasoned soldiers of many battles who spend most of their time studying books on strategy or practicing combat.

Peasant and Construction Glitch live at the bottom of Glitch Society. Living in small villages mostly made of wood and hay they are subservient to all other Glitch’s above them.

MILITARY:

Many ask how the Faithful Glitch where able to travel to other planets and spread as they have. Despite the Faithful Glitch having most of its technology limited to a primitive level the Faithful has one of the largest Space Fleets of any Galactic Power. However it should be noted this fleet is in major disrepair as none of the ships are actually made by the Faithful Glitch themselves. The ships are actually ships the Faithful Glitch gathered ether through salvaging derelict wrecks, trading with other races, or a rare few ships are actually ancient relics made by the Makers of the Glitch themselves. While the Faithful Glitch can learn to operate the machinery onboard these ships and even perform minor repairs the knowledge to maintain these ships in peak condition is beyond their ability to comprehend. So it is not unusual to see a Faithful Glitch Fleet consisting of ships from various races all outfitted with the preferred castle design and copper plating the Faithful Glitch prefer.

The Exiled or Unbound, Glitch however do not suffer from this lack of ability to understand higher tech. They are fully able to build, repair, and even maintain ships capable of galactic travel if they so desire. This leads to the question of why haven't the Unbound Glitch won the war against the Faithful Glitch. The answer is in two parts....numbers and the Makers lost technology. The Faithful Glitch to this day still outnumber the Freemind glitch 1000 to 1 and are good allies with the Floran race who are also quite numerous and despite the Unbound’s alliance with the Hylotl Empire are still badly outnumbered.

The Faithful also have rather unique advantage over the Unbound, the Faithful Glitch still have access to their 'Holy Relics'. These Relics are actually ancient items made by the Makers of the Glitch and are able to do many mysterious abilities ranging from creating force fields, Projecting Fields that emit a currently unknown type of Energy that repairs Organic and Inorganic materials in the area, and tearing holes in the fabric of time able to various objects out to name a few. This tech is not understood by the Glitch or really other races as only 'Cleric' Glitch are allowed to use them and they refuse to allow other races to study the items. Attempts have been made to 'kill' Cleric Glitch holding these items but the Clerics are always heavily guarded and if the Cleric dies the Guards immediately gather the relic and retreat. To date all attempts to gather or study one of the Faithful's Relics have failed.

-Pros/Cons

-Pros:

*Glitch are made of metal so are naturally tougher than other races. While normal Glitch aren't able to deflect bullets from larger guns they can withstand 3-4 shots from smaller caliber rounds before taking damage.

*Glitch are more easily given modifications than other races and take to them easier needing less times to adjust and heal.

-Cons:

*Since Glitch are made of metal are they also naturally heavier and slower than other races easily getting weighing more than 3 times other races of the same size.

*The more Modifications a Glitch takes the more unstable the Glitch’s Core Data becomes.

*Glitch require specialized treatment for healing and or modifications, they can not be done by just anyone.

-History

BASIC HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

The Glitch are a purely robotic race created long ago by a now forgotten race. The name of the Glitch's Creators had been lost to the annuals of time but a few records exist that were left by them. While most of these records are indecipherable but a few have been translated, these few show that the Glitch was once part of Great Experiment. The experiment seemed to have been focused on seeing how civilizations would grow and develop under different situations. The records show that Glitch were actually one one type of robot created for this experiment. The experiment was deemed a failure as all the other robot races developed up to a certain point before destroying themselves in wars. Only the Glitch remain as, as their names suggest, there was Glitch in their programming. The Glitch as a whole developed to a certain point and then stopped, this point oddly enough is a point that bears many striking similarities to the European Medieval Ages in Human history. Effectively freezing their race in time. The Glitches creators decided to leave the Glitch alone and after that they, the creators, vanished into time.

It is assumed the Glitch design was to see how a culture would develop with a hivemind mentality as all Glitch was bound to a system the Glitch refer simply to as the Consensus. This system has developed over the years into a pseudo-religion that holds many similarities to the Catholic Religion from Earth. This Religion is lead by an entity known as the Platinum Pope who is rarely seen by anyone other than a select few individuals. Known as the Argent Cross. The religion focuses on the Glitch's creators called the Makers, and views the Consensus as a messenger of the Makers, a sort of Angel like figure.

All Glitch are Humanoid robotic in appearance, the thickness of the metal 'chassis' of individual Glitch various depending on what the Glitch was built for. Being robotic in nature it is possible for Glitch to 'modify' themselves in various ways, adding additional arms, thicker chassis, upgrading memory banks, etc. etc. This act however is viewed as unnatural and evil by the Argent Cross so is illegal under normal circumstances but rare exceptions have been made. Modifying a Glitch however comes at a cost, to much modifying can result in corrupted data appearing in a Glitches primary CPU leading to insanity.

________________________________________________________________________

ADVANCED HISTORY:

Centuries, or maybe eons later another glitch was found on the Glitch's programming. Something within the Glitch's program allowed a few members to break free of the Consensus. These Unbound were able to stay under the notice of the Argent Cross for many years, but upon being discovered the Argent Cross declared all of these Glitch to be known as The Exiled and that they were Heretics and sentenced them to death unless they returned to the Consensus. Needless to say this didn't go over well with the Exiled who separated themselves from the Faithful Glitch. Upon finding themselves hunted by their previous family and friends with not means of supporting themselves many of The Exiled turned to banditry to survive, this did not go over well with the Faithful Glitch. After many years of this The Exiled were able to escape their planets and founded a new home for themselves. They also took up the name of The Unbound, and named their newly founded Kingdom the Nation of Exiles, as a way to never forget the home they lost.. This act lead to a Civil War as the Argent Cross deemed the Nation Of Exiles to be an Abomination to the Consensus and the Makers. This war still rages to this day.

Over the course of time stories arose about Monstrous Glitch who would slaughter all in their path, the Glitch were called the Doom Lords. While Doom Lords were described as enormous warriors with dark magic who slaughtered all Glitch the fact is most of them are simply Unbound Glitch who went to extremes in modifying themselves. Unfortunately the story of them slaughtering many Glitches isn't entirely false as if a Unbound Glitch isn't careful with the modifications they can go insane and this is the fate of many Doom Lords.

__________________________________________________________________________

Glitch Mods:

All Glitch are able to have minor and major mods done to them to alter various aspects of themselves….however with each mod comes corrupt data that can lead to insanity, minor mods give less while major mods give more. Glitches are normally able to handle 1 major mod and 2 minor mod before the corrupted data overwhelms them and they go insane. In most cases these modifications are only done by the Unbound Glitch as the Faithful see this a crime against the Makers, however on VERY rare times are exceptions allowed.

Major:

•Mods that are able to increase a Glitches strength ((max limit for average Glitch is 600 lbs))

•Mods that increase a Glitches intelligence

•Mods that add extra limbs

•Removal of Death Date from programing

•Mods that alter body in major ways

Minor:

•Mods that allow Glitches to express emotion normally

•Mod to allow Glitches to breath any atmosphere

•Mods that allow Glitches to consume any matter to convert to energy

•Mod allows Glitch to project Eye Glow as a light source(think Eye Flashlight)

•Mod that allows Glitch have Night Vision

•Mod allows Glitch to have Heat Vision

•Mod allows Glitch to had a small folded shield attached to one arm that can be unfolded when needed, the shield is NOT detachable when unfolded ((think similar to Captain America’s shield)

•Mod allows Glitch to have small folded short sword attached to arm that can be unfolded when needed, the sword in NOT detachable when unfolded ((Think similar to Gipsy Danger’s Sword from Pacific Rim movie))

•Mod allows Glitch to remain active and not need sleep as long as it has sufficient energy

HOLY RELICS:

The Faithful Glitch have long had access to advanced technology that was left behind by their Makers. These artifacts are referred to as Holy Relics by both the Faithful and the Unbound. They come in all shapes and sizes, some being as small as a Baseball, and some being gigantic intergalactic ships, however it is very common to see these relics look like Staffs or wands. But no matter the shape or size all of these relics are jealously guarded by the Faithful, so much in fact that all attempts to study or steal one of these Holy Relics have failed.

What is known about these relics is that they are equipped with extremely advanced and barely understood technology. It is thought that even the Faithful are unsure how to use the relics to their full potential and are only using them in the most basic ways.

Currently Relics are classified into two main Groups; Field Relics & Attack Relics. Each Group has various sub groups and it is rumored that some of the relics may be able to do more than just one thing.

FIELD RELICS:

HEALER RELICS:

Healing Relic: One of the more common relics seen used by Clerics are the Healing Relics. When used these staffs emit a currently unknown energy that at first glance appears to rapidly speed up the healing process and help recover even the most grievous wounds in short amount of time. However this process also works on the Glitch who normally need to be manually repaired, so it is theorized that the relics somehow reverse time to a point when the injury didn’t happen.

Energy Relic: These relics emits a field of energy that is somehow able to convert itself into the power for any currently known weapon or technology.

MAGNETIC RELICS:

Repel Relic: Repel Relics are able to generate a field that magnetizes anything that enters it and emits the opposite pull to force any object or entity away from the field source. This can fling even the most heavy Mech out of the way if used properly.

Attract Relic: These relics work in the exact opposite effect of a Repel Relic. The fields these staffs create will actually magnetize anything that enters the field and pull it violently towards its center.

GRAVITY RELICS:

Low Gravity Relic: These relics emit a field that lowers the gravity in a set area, this allows for objects and entities within the field to jump higher and move quicker than normal.

High Gravity Relic: These relics work opposite of how Low Gravity Relics work, they largely increase the gravitational pull of a set area forcing all objects and entities within it to exert more energy to move or jump slowing them down drastically.

ATTACK RELICS:

Attack relics are by far the most mysterious of the relics used by the Faithful. These relics appear to tear a small hole in our dimension and reach into another and forcibly pull matter from then into ours for a short period of time before they are returned from where they can. These relics are separated into four categories depending on how the relics act. The attacks all seem to be centered around one of four elements, Fire, Ice, Poison((Acid)), and Electric energy.

Bouncers: A Bouncer Relic when used releases a orb of energy that follows the users will for a short time bouncing off nearby objects leaving fragments of itself behind while it chases its target.

Orbs: These relics summon an orb similar to a Bouncer relic however these orbs disappear if they hit anything. They are however more powerful than their Bouncer Cousins.

Portal: These relics rip a large portal open that spews out the attack from the portal, this is far more widespread but not controlled as well as the others/

Rain: The final type is arguably the most devastating. This relic when used literally rains the element upon all in the area, it neither recognizes ally or foe and is completely uncontrolled by the Cleric Glitch. This type of relic is rarely seen due to its destructive nature.

___________________________________________________________________________

GLITCH HORSES:

Glitch Horses are another oddity among the Glitch. At first glance they appear to be little more than robots designed after Earth Horses however closer study reveals something else completely, upon closer study it can be found that Glitch Horses are in fact Glitch themselves! Everything about them is the same as a regular Glitch except for the fact they have the same intelligence of a regular Horse. At first it was unclear how the Glitch Horses came into existence but it has been found out that some Glitch couples are able to make Glitch Horses, why this happens is unknown but upon being found out the two Glitch face one of two fates depending on which faction they are under. With The Faithful they are separated from the rest of the community and forced to continuously make the horses for Glitch Knights and other projects until both the Glitch’s in question literally fall apart. With the Unbound the two individuals we spoke of face a different fate, they are generally called upon by people across the galaxy to make custom Glitch Horses for them, in most cases the two end up becoming quite wealthy.

Another oddity can be found when on occasion a Glitch horse and a Glitch Warrior will be built at the same time by the same two Glitch, when this happens a rare phenomenon where the Glitch Horses and the Glitch Warriors programing seems to meld, almost making each body a extension of the other. These rare Glitches generally tend to become some of the best riders ether Glitch army can have.
