Most politics-related YouTubers I regularly watch do their videos in German, though I have also watched a video or two from Devon Tracey, Sargon or Kraut and Tea.

What sort of politics-related YouTubers do you watch or can you recommend?
I think this is my favourite English one, though I'm not quite as a left-wing as he is:

I'm not sure which channels to watch, but I do know which channels have what bias.

Conservative:
Alex Jones
Steven Crowder
Blaire White

Liberal:
The Young Turks
Secular Talk
literally every late night talk show host

Hbomberguy
Libertarian Socialist Rants
ContraPoints
BadMouseProductions
Shaun
Dick Coughlan
Anarchopac
Stimulator
Xexizy
Mexie
Thom Avella

All channels are left wing range from heavy handed liberalism to Marxism and Anarchism. The first 4 are extremely accessible and helpful for anyone willing to jump into a needed perspective change.

Where do you think the "Skeptic Community" falls (by that, I mean guys like Kraut or Sargon)? Most of them claim to be left-wing, but you mostly see them arguing for right-wing standpoints.

They're all right wing reactionaries who blend half in with the alt right.

Fun fact: Sargon's political compass is very similar to mine.

So do you still think Sargon is conservative?

The political compass has some flaws, as you cannot give the topics any weight (certain topics are more important for me than others). He almost only criticises the left (which he justifies with it having more power, despite the fact that his country is run by the conservative PM Theresa May, while the US are run by Trump) which implies that the stances on which he agrees with the right (antifeminism, anti-multiculturalism, etc.) are the ones he gives the greatest weight.

Theresa May would be considered a liberal in the US. What does the political compass comparing itself to? Which specific country’s politics?

Many of the German politics-related YouTubers I watch have criticised it for being too American.

Just a general feeling that there are many questions where there is a lot of consensus in Germany, but not in America.

Anyway, if we use American standards, it is probably true that Britain (and most of Western Europe, for that sake) is run by "The Left".

And in Europe, there are moderate Democrats that could be considered right wing.

I've just watched a video by ContraPoints (the one on rape culture). Feels good after having listened to the repetitive anti-SJW screed I typically concern myself with.

I gathered 18 Political YouTubers and tried to place them in categories. Some YouTubers were excluded as their main channel focus is not on politics but rather on other things, and they do politics as a side thing, such as hbomber. Other YouTubers are too inconsistent on their views to place them somewhere, such as thunderf00t.

Alt-right: Alex Jones, PragerU, MBest11x (this guy does appear very bright. He constantly makes satirical videos on liberals, but never actually takes anything seriously)
Very Conservative: Daily Wire, Steven Crowder
Conservative: Anthony Brian Logan
Center-right: Sargon (debatable), Blaire White, Shoeonhead
Center-left: ContraPoints
Liberal: Vox, Stephen Colbert, Secular Talk
Very Liberal: Trae Crowder, John Oliver, The Humanist Report, The Young Turks
Alt-Left: BuzzFeed

He means that this is just some alt-right buzzword to create a false equivalence. And I would classify thunderf00t as a liberal. Sure, he is a staunch anti-feminist, but his stances on Brexit, Trump, the religious right or the Iraq War should be enough to place him in the liberal camp overall.

The argument is faulty as the right can easily use the same thing against us. “There is no alt right.”

Except there is and they themselves agree. Alt left is a phrase used by liberals to condemn and discredit the radical left as a false equivalency to the alt right.

Alright, fine. It doesn't. But there are certain leftists out there who I think take things too far.
