Are the children property, or are the parents legal guardians?

The only people who believe they are property are overboard ancaps and libertarians (closeted fascists who don't like taxes or Republicans who smoke weed).

So what are parents then? Legal guardians?

Yeah, sure. Birthing someone surely means they're your property.

Parents are nothing but legal guardians and should always be treated as such.

Parents are by law responsible for the care education of their children. Laws vary by state but all require, mandate support of dependent children.

It has been unlawful to own humans since 6 Dec 1865.
