Politicians and the Internet

It seems that politicans in general, no matter what age they are, don't know how the Internet works. First we have net neutrality to be repealed, and then the recent EU laws to come into effect such as asking for permission to post sources of articles on forums to outright banning memes. Oh, and I better say this cracker... Theresa May wanting to make the UK's internet operate like North Korea's just to combat and prevent extremism and when she first proposed that, everyone had brought her down.

Seriously, the Internet is far too large and complicated for any of these bastards to try and cripple it with whatever crazy idea they have in their heads. Don't you all agree?
Fight, in this world of aggression.
Fight, in this world of deceit.
Fight, in this war of oppression.
Fight, let the killing proceed.

I definitely agree, as this whole FCC shit has been going on for way too long. This is why I’ll probably not be a politician, as becoming one must mean you don’t know how the internet works.

You’re acting as if every politician opposed net neutrality

I know that not every politician opposes it, but the general consensus seems to be that few don’t support it. Then again I haven’t really been keeping tabs on the issue as often as I’d like.

Nearly every Democrat was against it.

How much they know about the Internet depends on if these laws are the result of stupidity or sinister motives (like extending surveillance and censorship). Personally, I'm unsure what is true.
