Any tips on computer security? What cheap or free computer programs are there that can fight viruses?

Malwarebytes was great until it became a resource hog as what Norton is, so really the best form of computer security these days is purely common sense.
Fight, in this world of aggression.
Fight, in this world of deceit.
Fight, in this war of oppression.
Fight, let the killing proceed.

I use Windows Defender (it's free) and run MalWareBytes and Superantispyware once a week as foreground tasks rather than running them in the background. If I'm going to a new website, I have an old computer that I'll use. If it gets bit by something ugly, I just format the drive and reload a C: drive image with Acronis.
