Regular Forum (No New Posts) Lothlórien
Located on the River Celebrant and southeast of the Mines of Moria, Lórien is one of the few Elven havens across Middle-earth, and one of two under the protection of one of the Three Rings. Lord Celeborn and the Lady Galadriel rule here, and so long as Galadriel bears Nenya, the Ring of Water, Lothlórien will not fall unless Sauron himself comes to claim it, it is said.

Regular Forum (No New Posts) Lands of the Beornings
These lands, stretching from Mirkwood to the Misty Mountains, belong to the shapeshifters known as Beornings and their Woodsmen allies. Ruled by Grimberon the Old, this land is a land where trust is hard to come by easily, but all here bear a deep hatred of the enemies of nature. Friends of old and newcomers are welcomed if they respect the laws laid down by Beorn himself.

Greenwood the Great now stands a dark and mysterious wood, especially in these dark days. The trees are so thick together that, unless you're high enough, you can't see the sky, and water is rare along the paths. The paths are what keeps you alive: Straying from the paths through Mirkwood leads, more often than not, to death.

The Lonely Mountain is the home of the primary Dwarven Kingdom of the Third Age, conquered by Thorin Oakenshield and Dáin Ironfoot over sixty years ago, and is now ruled by Dáin. Dwarves mine for mithral, and the nearby human towns of Dale and Esgaroth stand as strong allies.

The lands north of the Misty Mountains and the Iron Mountains have been known as the Forodwaith, a devastatingly cold land where strange men known as the Snowmen of Forochel dwell. The Ice Bay of Forochel stands here, and deep under its icy surface lay two of the palantír still to this day.

United under Dáin Ironhoot, Erebor and the Iron Hills, remnants of the Iron Mountains, stand as the two primary Dwarven Kingdoms of Middle-Earth. Still strong, the community is the most populous Dwarven mining colony to date, despite the Lonely Mountain's growing population since the Battle of the Five Armies. Mithral and many other precious ores can still be found here.

A strange land, this is the home of the Easterlings, allies of Sauron the Great. These lands are populated by Men who follow Sauron, as well as Elves who did not make the Great Journey, several members of four of the Dwarven Clans, and the lost Alatar and Pallando, the Blue Wizards. It was also here that the Children of Ilúvatar were born, during the First Age, but that lore is lost and unknown to most.

Taking its source from the Misty and Gray Mountains, the Great River runs from the Northern Mountains to the South Seas, and long a path is this. Dividing it from the South are the Falls of Rauros, and on the way to this is the great markers of the old Gondorian border of the Argonath. This river is the site of Isildur's death, and held the One Ring for centuries.
