General Information:
Name: Legolas
Alias: Greenleaf
Gender: Male
Homeland and Descent: Legolas hails from Mirkwood, where he is son of the elven king Thranduil. He descends from a noble line of Sindarin elves.
Age: 900
In the Service of: King Thranduil, his father, and to Mirkwood in general

Weaponry
Weapons: Elven warbow, A pair of curved, long white knives.

Description
Physical Description:
Like all elves, Legolas is stunningly beautiful, even for a male. He stands at 6'0 flat, and he has a sheet of shoulder-length pale golden hair that he always keeps neatly away from his face in a half-ponytail style with light braids at the back. His eyes are a distinct crystal blue in color, which suits his fair complexion. Legolas of course has the distinct pointed ears of his race, and has a somewhat angular face tempered by the distinct elven beauty.

He is usually clad in his scout's outfit - dark green, hooded overcoat, mithril chainmail atop his undershirt, specially crafted elven boots, arm guards and a quiver for his arrows. Legolas moves with a certain gait, a certain ephemeral grace that is distinct to the elven race. When he is not out doing his scouting or accompanying the Fellowship, he switches into the elegant but a bit more modern elven robes of multi layers. These types of clothing he wears in formal occasions or when he and his companions are resting in elven realm. Legolas wears a maximum of three layers of these elegant robes, and they are not as long as Lord Elrond's, for his extend only to knee-length, and it is visible that he also wears trousers underneath.

Avatar: Orlando Bloom
Personality:
For an elven prince, Legolas is unnaturally humble and secretive. For starters, he tends to identify himself with his companions, not by his royal titles or his lineage. He is an extremely loyal elf, fighting for his cause and that of his friends to the death. He is not afraid of dying, and is most certainly ready to fight even when he sees he is sorely outnumbered.

He focuses on whatever task he's doing, and if he is doing this said task with companions or friends, he tries to encourage them to do their best when he senses they're being down or losing the will to continue with their jobs. He also has a competitive streak - he does not like to lose face, most especially against dwarves. Despite this though, overall he has a lighthearted and cheerful temperament.

History:
[Taking some liberties here, scouring for a reference for Legolas' complete history is hard. D8]

Legolas of the Woodland Realm of Mirkwood is the son of King Thranduil. He is by far one of the youngest elves around the age, who is not over 900. He is descended from a noble line of Sindarin elves who fled the ruined ancient kingdoms and joined with the Wood-elves in the forests of Mirkwood.

As a child Legolas is a certified lover of nature. His heart was always at home where strong, tall trees reigned, shepherded by the Ents. He was a romantic and lyrical elf, and also possessed a strong but light-hearted spirit. Though elves were long since known for their Archery, Legolas' aim and skill with the bow boasted one of the best in his kind. His supernatural senses, particularly his eyesight, established him as one of his father's best scouts.

Which suited Legolas' care-free spirit just fine. He was chiefly traveling back and fro from his father's realm for most of his life, bringing news of the outside world, noting how times shifted, and along with it the lives and deaths of the different races in Middle Earth. It is in one of these scouting jobs that he would meet young Aragorn, future King Elassar, foster son of Lord Elrond of Rivendell. Aragorn was a very young boy then, about 10 years old, still unaware of his heritage.

That was a start of a long and loyal friendship between Legolas and Aragorn. They would meet countless times in the course of their lives, often around their various duties as scout and soldier. And then the news of Sauron's returning strength whispered across Middle Earth. It was Legolas with a substantial elven guard who met Aragorn when the ranger came to them in Mirkwood to turn over the creature Gollum in their guard. Aragorn then goes on to meet with Gandalf and learn of Frodo, but Gollum soon escapes. King Thranduil then sends his son as a messenger to the Council of Elrond with all haste.

Lord Razekiel's study was probably one of the most spacious rooms in the palace at Ivria, primarily because it was an office and library combined. A hundred shelves of about twenty feet in height and eighty feet wide dotted the room, arranged spirally around the center study table and some couches. Everything was of dark, durable wood that Temaile supposed had come from the southern parts of Olencia.

The study was his now.

Temaile had his golden mane loose, as he was wont to do when at home. Today he was wearing three-layer robes, the inmost of immaculate white and smooth silk, the second layer a pale cream yellow in colour and woven with intricate, vine-like patterns. The third and outmost layer was of salmon pink in colour, with expensive gold-thread at the hems and sleeves. Three bunched pearls made for the buttons of this expensive ensemble, and from neck to hem the overcoat had a total of twenty buttons.

The young lord had two rings on his right hand - one on his ring finger, a most excellent work of gold and sapphire. The second one, of white gold and obsidian, was on his little finger. The gold-and-sapphire was a gift from his father, arrived only yesterday from the workshop of Ivria's best jewelers. He did not have the ring of Ghayth on his hands primarily because his fingers were still too thin for it. The ring, passed down from centuries of High Lords and Ladies, was probably Ghayth's most precious possession. It was of course worked ornately from gold, but the diamond that crowned the ring had inside it a perfect image of Ghayth's coat of arms. Temaile currently had this ring hanging from a fine gold chain that he always wore around his neck and hidden under his many layers of clothing.

The letter that Temaile was reading was short and brisk.

The Hawk has fallen.

This was thoroughly unexpected. Temaile was having a hard time dwelling on the matter. He had a new butler due to come in today, some man named Conrad Westley. The servants entering his service were of great importance to Temaile, second only to his long-time goal of securing the Olencian crown for the House of Ghayth. He needed to know if the man was up to match, if he was loyal enough, and what exactly swayed him from one side to another. It was not an easy job.

Surely his father already knew. Ghayth after all had the best network of spies in all the competing houses. Temaile cast his thoughts wide. Right now, the people in the competition were himself, the High Lady of Marlas, and the King's servants. Oh, yes, Temaile considered them enemy. Anyone so close to such a powerful position was bound to covet for it. Maybe the Lord Commander of the Kings guard and the Lady Viceroy. Indeed.

There was a knock that echoed lightly in the room. Temaile lifted his unusual eyes to the great oak doors some fifty feet away and called out, quite clearly,

"Enter."
