Paths

Aes Sedai Path:
The typical path to become an Aes Sedai. Men and women may become Aes Sedai. There are seven Ajahs that an Aes Sedai can join.

Citizen -> Novice -> Accepted -> Aes Sedai -> Sitter -> Head of Ajah -> Keeper -> Amyrlin Seat

(Blue, Brown, Gray, Green, Red, White and Yellow Ajahs)

Gleeman Path
Gleemen provide entertainment for all of those within Tar Valon. Both men and women can become a Gleeman and keep all of the Citizens of Tar Valon entertained. Who knows? Perhaps you'll be able to play for the Amyrlin Seat one day. There are five main Factions of Gleemen.

Citizen -> Tavern Ministral -> Soloist -> Troubador -> Gleeman -> Gleeman Guild Master

(Dance, Jest, Juggle, Song, and Storytelling Factions)

Gaidin & Gaidar Path:
Gaidin & Gaidar are warriors trained to be Bonded to and protect Aes Sedai. Both men and women may become Gaidin & Gaidar, respectively. There are five different Societies a Gaidin & Gaidar can join.

Citizen -> Recruit -> Soldier -> Gaidin / Gaidar -> Tower Guardian -> Captain Of The Guard

(Al'Amona'vron, Dovie'Andi'Dore, Gai'Mahdi'In, Tsorovan'Der, and Vron'D'Sedai Societies)

Commoner Path
This is a general path for the average person. Whether it be a ship captain, tavern keeper, or tailor. There are many guilds for citizens to join, if they wish to, but there are five major Guilds that most people fall under.

Citizen -> Commoner -> Dedicant -> Loyalist -> Guildmaster -> Mayor Of Tar Valon

(Artisan, Craftsmen, Innkeeper, Merchant, and Scholar Guilds)

Point System
Members will be raised based off the number and quality of each roleplay post.
Each seperate forum posting will be worth a total of 5 points. These points will be assigned by a Senior Member at the end of the roleplay.
Points will be given for:

  • 1 Point - Staying in character. It is very important that you remain true to your character.
  • 1 Point - Staying inside the world created, and where you are assigned to stay ie. Recruits and Novices are not allowed to leave the White Tower.
  • 1 Point - General plot of the posting. Does it further the world, character, etc.? If your Roleplay goes nowhere and doesn't have a storyline that is easy to follow, points will not be given out.
  • 1 Point - Staying with Site Rules. Be respectful of others in the post and mindful
of officers positions. [See Section 3.1]
  • 1 Point - If the post is more than ten (10) posts per person, and was posted in a timely manner. OOC Postings do not count to that number. This is a hard rule because this is a Roleplay site, not a Community.
  • 1 Point - Post in monthly activity checks can raise you post count. This is an easy way to get points for being active.
Note:
The Amyrlin and other Senior Members of power have the authority to change points assigned based on scenerio.

Raisings
Novice -> Accepted will require a total of 50 points.
Recruit -> Soldier will require a total of 50 points.
Tavern Minstrel -> Soloist will require a total of 50 points.
Commoner -> Dedicant will require a total of 50 points

Accepted -> Aes Sedai will require a total of 150 points.
Soldier -> Gaidin/Gaidar will require a total of 150 points.
Soloist -> Troubador will require a total of 150 points.
Dedicant -> Loyalist will require a total of 150 points.

To be eligble for Sitter, Tower Guardian, Gleeman Guildmaster, Guildmaster positions, the Senior Member in question must have a total 250 points. Positions will be assigned by the Amyrlin, but will be voted on by the Ajahs, Companies, Guilds and Trades amongst the ranks.

Non-involvement in site activities by a Sitter, Tower Guardian, Head Of Ajah, Gleeman, Guild Master or any other member without a valid Leave of Absence, will result in loss of points based upon how severely the inactivity remains, and in severe cases, the member in question will lose their title. Inactive members will be given the title of Wanderer until they become active on the site once again.
