Guide for Newcomers to Tar Valon Firstly let me thank you for coming and taking interest in Tar Valon. If you are willing to come this far then maybe you are willing to take a few more steps and actually become a participating member. This guide is a step by step direction on how to do that. Step 1 Register with the forum. It will ask you to create a User ID and password along with some personal information and an email address. *Note* This site will send a confirmation email to that email address for verification. You must click on the link given in that email to be able to post on our site. Step 2 Once the emailed link has been verified proceed back to the “Welcome Visitors” and please read the Site Rules And Regulations forum and then respond in the Rules Compliancy that you have read and agree to the Site Rules. You must do so before you are allowed to roleplay with the rest of the members. Step 3 Now is the time to start thinking of what type of character you want to play. In the Welcome Visitors forum, you will find the Class Progression And Rankings posting. There will be a breakdown of what types of characters are open for roleplay within The White City. Please read and respond in the Raising Rules Compliancy thread. Step 4 After you have chosen your character type, please move on to Roleplay Biographies forums. Inside you will find a forum marked Intended Path. Please follow the examples therein and give us little about yourself and what your characters intended path is to be. Step 5 (Hope you are still with me this far. )Once you are done inside the Intended Path, the next place to move to is Roleplay Biography Guidelines. This is a detailed description of your character and the character’s history. Please be as through as you can. I promise it will help sometime in the future. Make sure to read the Talents thread if you are a channeller, the Gaidin, Gaidar, And Gleeman Skills if you are going to be a Warder or Gleeman and the Ogier Traits if you are follwing the Treebrother path. Step 6 Here’s the waiting game. Your character’s Bio will have to be read and approved by two Senior members of the staff. Once approved you are more than welcome to start roleplaying and really start to have fun. When you are completely approved, your Bio will have an asterisk (*) beside it. Step 7 HAVE FUN!... I mean it… Or the Keeper will be after you!
