Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah

Lorenia sighed and stepped into her office. Her second home. She glanced around, then glided over to her desk and sat down wearily. She was very tired, of late. Only her maid ever saw it. The desk itself was made of good wood, polished until it shone dully. It was beautiful. It had gliding curves, making the desk seem part of Lorenia. She had had it hand-crafted by Andoran craftsmen.

A sword shone brightly on the right wall. It was a glistening piece, more jewel than steel. It showed her strength, and her love of gems. Saphires radiated a deep blue light, set into the ivory hilt perfectly. It made the ivory seem almost blue. A huge green emerald sat in the center of the pommel. It was a Well. Rubies and firedrops ran up the blade in a conflaguration of red that contrasted beautifully with the sapphires. Diamonds ran up the sides, causing the blade to seem a sky of fire above an ocean. It was the first thing people noticed, after Lorenia herself of course.

A rug ran across the floor, made of green thread that glistened in the other threads. White tile brilliantly glowed for the flooring, complementing the diamonds on the sword. Behind her, a huge window opened to a balcony. And the view of Tar Valon was breathtaking. Her office was high in the Tower, and Tar Valon was sprawled across the island, a bustling city of what looked to be ants milling around. They were people.

Lorenia finally turned to her paper-work. She sighed deeply. How she hated the vile paper. But she was Captain-General of the Green Ajah, which entailed paperwork. Lots and lots of paperwork. She dipped her pen, and started to write...
