(OOC: Continuing from Aftermath Of The Black Wind) Ilyana bowed her head to Mother and immediatly began preparing for a journey. She shed the light shift that she had been wearing onto the floor, and drew the doors of her armoire wide open. Ilyana's skin was perfect, with no flaws to it's silken beauty, pale as the colour of freshly churned cream. Back in her home, almost seventy years past, Ilyana had been one of the prime candidates for marriage to the Sun King, before she had been tested for the ability to channel. In her time when she still lived in Cairhein, no man would dare be married to a woman who could channel saidar and would rather die than suffer that fate. It was the stereotype that grew all over the Westlands, and almost all men were frightened of the power that these women held. Ilyana sighed and chose a thin green riding dress, it's silk skirts divided to make travelling that much easier on a woman, and slid the light fabric over her head. Hands behind her back to button the small pearl buttons, Ilyana searched her room for anything else she may need. She picked up a small saddlebag and filled it with a flask of water, and the bread and cheese that were to break her fast, which she had never touched. When she deemed herself ready, Ilyana channelled the Power into a small Gateway to the stables. Ilyana's gate opened just outside the stable door, the place where the most important Aes Sedai's and guests horses and pack beasts were kept. Quickly gliding down the aisles to almost the last stall on her left, Ilyana opened the sliding door to reveal a horse, his hair as white as snow, with only four black socks that ran up to his powerful thighs, a black mane and a star, in the likeness of the dragon's fang, to mar the white. He was her horse, Ellisande, a treasure from her parents horse farm. Beautiful and as perfect as a horse could be, Elli had a delicate bone structure to suit a lady, but was also a deadly warhorse to match. A warrior's horse was as much as a weapon to a fighter as a sword or bow, and sometimes, perhaps even deadlier than both. As she was no stranger to work, Ilyana let her horse follow her out of his stall, eager to greet his owner. Ily patted his velvet nose softly with a smile and fetched the green and gold tack that belonged on her horse. The saddle was light, much lighter than any other saddle she had ever seen, and had hooks and straps everywhere on it. If in need, the straps could hold her in place on Ellisande if she became unconscious or whatnot. Ilyana was a well-practiced rider and could probably outride most in the Tower, even some of the Warders. Pulling the strap under Elli's belly and pulling it into place, Ilyana lightly attached the breaststrap and slipped a hackamore over Ellisande's nose. Her horse was almost dancing in place, not used to all the excitment; unfortunatly, as Keeper, Ilyana hardly ever had the time for him anymore. Sure, that everything was in place, and waving off the help of a worried stableboy, Ilyana lifted a leather clad calf into the stirrup and swung herself into place on Ellisande's back. She gripped his reins in one hand and embraced the Source, ready to urge him on with her Power if need be. She backed Elli up slowly, and trotted out of the stable, where no one would be in her way. Ilyana felt for Antin in her mind and felt him moving south, just the direction where she had an unimpeded road to ride. With a soft whisper in her horses perked ears, Ilyana nudged Ellisande into a gallop, leant over the horses powerful neck, his strides eating up the ground underneath her. Antin's horse Drauka was fast, but definitly not a match for her Elli. |

Antin had been riding for nearly twenty minutes, when he heard someone coming behind him, he sensed Ilyana before he saw her. He shook his head with a smile on his face, he turned Drauka around to face where he could now see Ilyana riding toward him on Ellisande, easiliy in the top three fastest horses, if not the fastest horse. His own horse wasn't the fastest, but it definately rivaled Elli if he was having a good day. He had chosen his horse from a young age for its strength and bravery, even when facing a hoarde of trollocs and myrdraal, Drauka seemed only too eager to stomp and bite the trollocs into submission and eventual death. Antin had been through the hardest times with Drauka. Not a half minute later, Ilyana caught up with him. "I suppose there is no way to tell you to stay back huh?" he said with his secret grin with her. |

Ellisande's long strides ate up the ground underneath her, Ilyana crouched over his back like a jockey. Riding was much more relaxing, soothing and healing to her than any bed or rest would be, and perhaps Mother knew this before sending her after her Warder. After topping a hill, Ilyana could see a lone horse, facing in her direction. With a grin that lit up her entire face, Ilyana slowed Elli down to a light lope, patting his neck to soothe the excited stallion. Ilyana reigned Elli in as soon as she was eye to eye with her Warder, who was on a smaller horse. "I suppose there is no way to tell you to stay back huh?" he asked. Ilyana shared a grin with her only Warder. "Of course not. I'd think that you would know me well enough by now to know that." Ilyana lowered her eyes and then lent over towards Antin and softly kissed his lips. |

Feeling his Aes Sedai...his love's warm, soft lips, made it seem like everything was to be ok...even though he knew deep down that the attack on Tar Valon was hardly the tip of the iceberg. The kiss seemed to last all too short once they both pulled away. With a smile to his face, he said: "I would never think of asking it of you, I love having you with me, even if it's a quick trip to a waygate." He turned toward their destination, which just happend to be the direction from which a storm was approaching, he knew it'd be upon them in mere hours, so speed was a necessity, even though they would just be getting to the nearest village when it begins. He then checked his supplies along for the trip, he had one of his longest and most powerful bows, along with fourty arrows in two different quivers. He had a newly made longsword, as his previous was destroyed in the last battle...but his new one was purely a quick fix, it wasn't his sharpest sword, and it was far from user-friendly. Also having two extra changes of clothes, along with about a four day supply of water and food, he felt rather prepare for the journey, as it was only supposed to take a matter of a week or so. So to purchase more supplies if needed, he had enough gold from his saved stash to buy a house in the nicer parts of Tar Valon. |

Ilyana pulled back from their short, chaste kiss with a small sigh. It seemed like forever since she and Antin had had some time alone, and now that they were, war was upon them once again. Such was the life of a Green, but these circumstances were ridiculous! Ily watched Antin check his rations quietly, noting that she had not prepared for this trip as well as she should have. Fortunately though, she had enough banknotes on her person to buy an entire city, funds that came from both her family and her position within the Tower. "Antin, I'm afraid I didn't bring as much as I should have. I was in a rush but..." Ilyana's head began to spin again and she almost plummeted out of Ellisande's saddle. |

Antin put his arm around Ily to steady her...she was doing far too much too soon. But he couldn't ask her to stay behind..he needed her along, if not for pure company, they had been apart for far too long, and together not nearly long enough. "I have enough supplies to last the two of us a good two days, we should be reaching the first village before sundown, but by the looks of those clouds, we'll be arriving there as it does..and it doesn't look like a small storm at that." |

Ilyana gave Antin a tight nod, as much as she could move her head without wanting to sick up again. He kept an arm around her to steady her, but Ilyana could barely sit straight without falling over. "I hope that shall be enough. And don't worry about the storm much, I can hold it off of us as much as I can with saidar," even the thought of channelling brought a sick feeling to Ily's stomach, but if she must, she would do it. "But, I do not think I am fit to ride, as much as it pains me to say that." Ily slipped off Elli's side and pulled the reins over the horses head, with Ellisande turning his neck to help her as best as he could. She tied the reins to Antin's saddle shakily and held her hands up to be lifted into the saddle with her Warder. At least I can be closer to him this way she thought with a sigh. |

Antin grabbed Ilys hand and pulled her up into the saddle with him. He had her in front as to keep an eye on her, he didn't know how much energy she had, but he wouldn't be taking any risks with her, he would never let her fall. He kept one arm around her waist, and the other on the reins..he wanted to provide some psychological comfort to her, he hoped he was helping in his own way. "You don't need to worry about channeling the storm away, I brought some hooded cloaks along, they're tightly woven, and nearly waterproof...I'd actually perfer it if you didn't channel right now, you're not strong enough just yet. And besides, it wont be for long if we aren't there before the rain is." |

Ilyana didn't even bother to argue with the man, and instead let herself be hauled up by her Warder's strong arms, into the saddle in front of him. Almost immediately, her temple began to pound again and she closed her eyes and leaned back into Antin's hard chest. She only barely felt him slip his arms past her sides to hold onto his horse's reins when the world went dark and she slipped into a dreamless sleep of the weary. |

Antin felt Ily fall asleep before he saw her asleep...that space in his mind reserved for her went blank...yet conscious. He sped his horse to a quick trot when it began to rain, steadily at first, but it began increasing as soon as he grabbed the cloaks. He dropped down and put one over Ilyana, covering her up completely..while supporting her back. He then put the other around himself, like Ilyana, with the hood up. After riding for another hour, the lightning was beginning to strike dangerously close, and the rain was a constant downpour. They reached the village a short time later, and Antin carried his Aes Sedai into the cleanest inn (Actually only one of two). He bought a room, and carried his Aes Sedai upstairs, where he laid her on the only bed, covered her in a blanket, and made himself comfortable next to a freshly-started fire of pine in a old-wooden chair. The horses were taken care of, the supplies were brought up to the room, and the room was becoming increasingly warmer, taking away the initial chill of the room. He checked the door to be sure it was locked, looked over at Ily, to find her fast-asleep on the bed...then he found his eyes slowly closing, then everything went dark. |

Ilyana awoke with a sudden jolt, completely alert and uneasy with the unfamiliar surroundings of the room that she was in. She sat up straight immediately, warying of everything around her until she remembered what she had been assigned to do by the Amyrlin. Then everything fell into place within her mind, and she slid off the bed to the chair where Antin was resting peacefully. Ily immediatly felt guilty, taking the only bed in the room when her Warder was just as weary, or even more so than she was herself. It was still pitch black outside the large window that faced the east, she noted when Ilyana gently prodded Antin's arm with her hand, willing him to wake up and speak to her. |

Antin quickly woke up with the touch on his arm. He looked up while rubbing one eye to see Ilyana looking intently at him. "Well goodmorning," he said with a smile. He stood up and stretched a bit, feeling like a little kid in a sense. He then turned toward his love again, and asked: "How long have you been awake?" While waiting for her response, there was a knock at the door. Antin looked toward Ily and shrugged, he belted on his knife, and kept his hand on it while he opened the door. It was the Inn Keeper with two big plates of warm food, probably figuring the two of them would be awake already. "Hello Master Gaidin, I hope I'm not disturbing you, I brought you and your Aes Sedai each a plate of food, I hope you like it!" He finished talking with a redundant amount of bows. Antin closed the door as he turned and looked toward Ily with a weird look on his face. "Well, that I'm not quite used to yet," he said with a bit of a laugh. |

Ilyana smiled at her Bondee as he rubbed an eye sleepily, "Not long love, only enough to catch you still asleep," she giggled. When a someone began to rap pn her door, Ilyana shifted her love filled gaze into that of a serene Aes Sedai, wishing that she had the ageless look in order to look more important and powerful. Her eyebrows rose at the large innkeeper who seemed on edge, and a little too friendly for her liking, but she sat on the bed quietly, and let Antin handle the man. Ily's hands were folded in her lap, with a gentle smile on her face to reassure the other man of their well being. Once Antin finally got the man out of the room, Ilyana wrinkled her nose in distaste at the man's actions. He owned an Inn so close to the city, but yet he still looked at Aes Sedai as celebrities. "I know I will never be used to people acting that way over me. I was almost anonymous for almost fourty years, it will take twice that long to be used to all the curtsies and bows." |

"I understand what you mean...It's been quite some time that I've traveled through a village such as this, or even been inside the City." Antin sat next to Ily on the bed and handed her the warmer of the two plates. He examined his plate to find that it contained mashed potatos, warm carrots, buttered bread and a good pound of pork. "Well, apparently they're going to stuff us, and then cook us for dinner," he said with a quick laugh. He and Ily both ate in few words, Antin was deep in thought about the Ways, and what was inside...he knew all too well the maddening whispers from within the Black Wind, what they experienced was hardly a breeze. |

Ilyana smiled as Antin handed her a plate filled with food, barely holding back a grimace as she examined the plate. Her stomach growled in protest and Ily picked at the crust of bread that sat on top of the potatoes. Perhaps she wasn't quite ready for a trip of this nature, but she would never admit it, especially to the man next to her. If she even complained once, he would have her on a gallopin horse home, to where she could be babied by all the Aes Sedai there, and especially by Mother. Her face set in determination, Ilyana set her barely touched plate on the nightstand, making sure to generously assure the Innkeeper that she was not hungry when she saw him next. Ily stood, and slipped on and laced up her heeled riding boots, preparing herself for the journey ahead of the pair to the Waygate. She was not worried about the trip at all; with the keys in their hands, the Gate could not be opened behind them. She gave Antin a look of affection and leaned on him lovingly, resting her head in the hollow of his shoulder as he ate. |
