Additional info:
Hasumin is what we can call as a "Place kinda trapped in time". Culturally conservative (in the aesthetic sense) like its northern counterpart, it has fully mantained the traditional aspects of their cultures (particularly architecture and fashions) and total (yet benevolent) monarchy throughout and aesthetics are still valued up until today, while being accepting of new ideas and foreign contact. Other than that, Hasumin can be considered as the antithesis of Akitsukuni due to its cultural value in equality, freedom and other "liberal ideals" that contradict what the Hasurin calls "Akitsukuni Malevolence". True to this, the younger generations are having a good time with its hipsters and modern art.

Hasumin is a feudal (federal in practice, actually) monarchy in which the Emperor manages among his Three Departments and Six Ministries and micromanaged by the Feudal Lords and their Bureaucracies. Its colonies, regarded as "vassals" by the Imperial government, are near-autonomous polities bearing the seal and the protection of the Emperor/Empress themselves. Hasumin is one of the handful polities that has a considerable and strong Merchant Navy, a large industry and a strong foothold within its sovereign waters. Because of this, Hasumin is often considered an equal against Akitsukuni, particularly because of its similar strength and colonial capabilities. True to this, the two nations have often went into various armed conflicts in their history, with their mutual antagonism showing no signs of mellowing.

Oh, yeah: Hasumin is a thallasocracy within its colonies.
