Awesome list. I have to catch Class Of The Titans sometimes. I've been told it is awesome by several people, it's really too bad it hasn't found its way to US TV yet. CN is really the only channel that would remotely consider picking it up here, I've noticed . . .

Sketch/Andrew is missing a couple of shows, though.

I think Iron Man and Zoids Genesis bear at least a mention. Iron Man has been pushed up to spring 2008 and it is supposed to have a completely CG look. Hopefully, it will look and be awesome, though I wonder about Iron Man's appeal in the long run (my latest fantasy schedule on Toon Zone predicts Iron Man bombing).

As for Zoids Genesis, that one is still coming. To Jetstream, natch, but it does stand a chance of heading to the block itself. Slowly, more info is coming out, and we do have a few voices attached to the characters (Tara Platt will be voicing Ferme, for instance). And frankly, that show just looks like it's going to be fun, action-packed, and jammed with lots of great animal-mecha (the Zoids) and decent characters. A lot like Chaotic Century/Guardian Force, actually.

If you really wanted to go out on a limb I suppose SGT. Frog, Naruto Shippudden, Gin Tama, Kekkaishi, a theoretical Hellboy cartoon, and Gundam 00 may also be worth mentioning, but Sketch/Andrew's list is realistic and doesn't pander to fanboys and I like that.

hmm...well?

Guardians of Luna? How similar is that to Wolf's Rain. Now lets think, how succesful was Wolf's Rain. I swear it had the most erratic of airtimes.

Time jam: Valerian and Laureline;
This could be exactly what sailor moon was. The girl vote. This series seems to look like it was made for young men and women to watch, for different reason, but still watch nonetheless.

Clash of the Titans:
I've actually watched this series, thanks the wonders of the On-Demand system. It is far from toonami worthy. And I'm not saying this as a toonami fan boy. I'm saying this as a cartoon viewer, that series doesnt have a strong enough storyline, or good enough animation. That and its so historically inaccurate that it makes me want to vomit. The show itself isnt bad, it just is the wrong demographic for toonami.

Wolverine and the X-men:
Oh sweet sweet victory. Should cartoon network get this show, they need, absolutley NEED to bring it to toonami. It's exactly what the block is about, solid Action cartoons. And knowing the the toonami fanbase demands a bit more than just an action cartoon show, it has a strong storyline to keep the toonami faithful watching.

Blue Dragon:
This has potential. Mainly because the design and animation is so similar to the dragonball series. I think solely because of that, people are going to be willing to give it a chance. However, will the big wigs at toonami give it a chance?

Hunter X Hunter:
Haven't seen or heard enough of it to commentate.

Star Wars:
The perfect thing for the block to do would be to have a star wars weekend. Air the clone wars mini-series, and then premiere the new cgi show. It would be genius.

I believe with some effort from their advertising and marketing department, toonami could probably get away with showing some older series; Outlaw Star, Pilot Candidate, Tenchi-Muyo.

Who wouldn't like to see the return of the original openers that toonami used to have.

I left currently unlicensed shows out.

I could have mentioned Zoids I guess but since we know that one is planned for Jetstream I decided I didn't need to. This more to note some shows that people may or may not have known were on the market. If Zoids Genesis makes it on the main block I'd be thrilled but I'm not anticipating that happening and will be happy with just watching it on Jetstream.

Iron Man wasn't coming until Fall when I made this list and X-Men was more likely to show up due to being ready for broadcast. But since Iron Man's movie comes this year they're rolling that out in Spring and just annouced that they would not long after I came up with this list of shows.

Well it's a shame that Class of the Titans doesn't "make the cut" according to some but I'd be fine with that airing on another part of CN.

I'm all for CN playing SGT Frog and I'm all for it airing on Toonami but I wanted to focus on action programing and SGT Frog is more comedy oriented.

That video included in the article was amazing. The person who made that has got some real talent. He should have competed in TDA's "Show Us Your Arsenal" contest from a few years ago (I'd like to see another one of those contests, actually. That was tons of fun to see all the entries). Anyway, it really made you drool for just what could be if CN played their cards right.

Oh, and Hunter x Hunter is a favorite of mine. I would love to see it on Toonami and I think it'd fit absolutely perfectly. It's from 1999 and isn't all shiny and digital, but it still looks better than most shows that come out today (well, I guess I'm a bit biased toward cel animation, but it's just how I feel). It doesn't scream "old" or anything to me, and so I think it would be all right to put on the block, despite being nearly 10 years old. It's really an amazing show, and Naruto seems to take a lot of cues from it. It might not be as successful as Naruto, but I'm sure there would be many to find much enjoyment from it.
