Ouch. Bakugan is a car and Andrew is the Hulk, I see.

I'm willing to write a review of the show itself if you want me to, not something as . . . personal.

Andrew has a lot of good points, though. He and I aren't far apart in our views of it.

It's definitely an editorial, that's for sure. But that's what Toonami Fan is all about.

I would like to point out that Bakugan is a marbal battle game. I know the actual game does have cards I don't know if they are in the show or not. Just putting that out there.

Sorry for bumping this after a little over 2 months... I re-read the article while thumbing through the archives for something. THF is right; Bakugan is a combination marble/card game, and the cards are Definitely in the anime. The marble/figure represents your "battler" & the cards control what it can do as well as the game field. Any Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh/Zatch Bell/Bleach TCG player could tell you that. The marble/figure is just someting to make Bakugan at least look different from all the other TCGs on the market.

Well, macattack, I guess you don't have to write that Bakugan review after all, huh? :D j/k, if you really still want to, Bakugan's still on DAS Saturday mornings... Where It Belongs! Sorry... after saying the B-word 4 times now, I gotta projectile hurl! Later... *urp!*

I really wonder how dismal the ratings were for bakugan...

Cartoon Network made a huge mistake. And there obviously paying for it by noticing how many people are tuning into an older series like Jack instead a carbon copy series like Bakugan.

Seriously though, how bad were those ratings!!

I'd like to know how bad the ratings for Bakugan on Toonami were, also. Elsewhere, I mentioned why I think it tanked on Toonami... besides the fact it's a copycat anime like Yu-Gi-Oh. Before the B-word showed up on Toonami, it had a double premiere on a Sunday after the latest Pokemon movie. After that, it was on DAS (Dynamite Action Squad) for 4 weeks before CN decided to put it & Blue Dragon on Toonami after Naruto.

Also, Blue Dragon had its repeat of the 1st episode that morning. Hmm... 2 new Narutos (maybe filler, but so what), a 4-week old Bakugan & a relatively new Blue Dragon. Also, DAS is CN's core demo, 6-11 year old boys. Toonami is pitched at the same demo, but we know it skews older as well. B-word premieres probably do well Saturday mornings. If it had repeated a new episode from that morning, like BD, we might still be stuck with the B-word on Toonami. *whew!*

As for Jack, Adult Swim asked viewers if they wanted SJ on. It won, but I & others campaigned against it. My point was AS would go down a slippery slope by putting on CN shows like SJ. I wanted SJ back, but Not on AS; Toonami or elsewhere on CN. IMHO, AS didn't plan to put on Samurai Jack, but was gauging demand by older viewers. Demand was high enough & the B-word tanked so quick on Toonami that SJ was the logical choice.

Well, after only 2 mentions of the B-word, I'm only slightly nauseous... *urp* Not Slightly Anymore! *runs for toilet*
