Gourmet Cells Gourmet Cells are an incredible, highly adaptive cell with the potential to greatly enhance any creature that is infused with them. The cell was first discovered and harvested from the Gourmet Jellyfish, and studied extensively. It was held that the cells possessed remarkable regenerative capabilities and when injected into ingredients, it vastly improved its flavor. After experimenting with humans, it was discovered that these cells can greatly improve a persons physical capabilities. In this day and age, almost every person living carries these cells within their bodies, either through being born with them or through simply being injected with them at a later date, using a much more risk free procedure. These cells are necessary for both hunters and chefs, as it is the tool that will ultimately help them wade through the countless ingredients and monsters that they will surely encounter. People with gourmet cells possess far more strength than an ordinary person, with heightened regenerative powers and even the potential to tap into supernatural abilities that manifest themselves the more their cells are awakened and strengthened. This strength is measured through our CAD system below. Capture Ability Data – CAD All characters on the board use a CAD index to identify their own personal keystone strengths, such as physical power, speed, intelligence and endurance. These four stats all feed into a character’s Appetite stat which increases at the average of all a character’s other stats. Power – The physical brute force a character can create at once. This can range from causing devastating strikes, to controlling your physical strength to greater degrees to help perform ranged physical techniques. Power is the rawest form of force that a character can produce and is used in a multitude of ways. Stability – The endurance a character holds within their body. Stability can range from various things such as taking taking damage in combat, being able to travel long distances without breaks, even just being able to prepare hard to cook time extensive meals. Stability works similar to a defensive stat in combat helping shrug off attacks through raw endurance. Speed – The swiftness a character is able to produce with their movements. This can range from rapid-firing attacks, running speed, dodging to a degree, or even the speed at which a chef can prepare ingredients. Speed works simply how it sounds, at the speed which one can move. Intelligence - The cunning and mental processing power that an individual has. This can range from improving your method of hunting prey to simple problem solving skills. At its basest form, intelligence determines how sharp your mind is and how quickly you can process information. Chefs who hope to succeed would need this in order to decipher hard to prepare ingredients, and to generally master the various cooking techniques that there are. While power governs brute force and speed governs swiftness, intelligence governs your characters ability to plan, respond and be precise, as well as to utilize their assets in more efficient ways. Appetite – The measurement of a character’s raw appetite energy. Higher levels of appetite energy allow characters to utilize more unique forms of their Appetite Style. These forms can be more raw power through appetite energy, greater AoE effects or even greater increases of stat bonuses. However, the higher an Appetite stat gets, the larger the drawback of Autophagy will be once the character runs out of energy. So no matter what Appetite you are at, be aware that using too much power can net you into a really bad situation. This stat works as an average that is determined by adding up the totals of your other four stats then dividing by four. Techniques The way techniques will work is that your appetite will serve as a gauge that determines how strong your techniques can be. Your maximum technique rank will be determined by your appetite/2 -- the higher your technique rank, the more intricate and powerful your techniques will be, and subsequently, the more they will tax you to use them. Where as your maximum technique point score would be determined by your appetite x 2 There is also a hidden factor where the more your techniques are used, the more calories you burn, gradually wearing away at your stability until you are unable to fight anymore, however this is something to be monitored within reason. We aren't going to hound your topics and measure your stamina on some massive quantifiable level. If something gets obscene, we'll notify you, and ask you to cut it back a bit. After all sometimes when a character is at their weakest they have their strongest moments. Edited by Medica, Apr 5 2017, 04:12 AM.
