yup title says it all, I think I own a fake ruby because 1. the game will always erase itself 2. It seems to save faster then my real Ruby and Emerald 3. IF I exit outta of the trade room or Battle room and turn it off, it erases itself 4. I can't Migrate from it on my Diamond 5. the sticker on the cart ain't shiny 6. the chip in the cart is more dark then my real Ruby 7. Everytime I boot up the game its always says "The Save file can be Loaded, The Save file can be played" My real Ruby doesn't say that dicuss. |

And i think i own an Pirated Pokemon Emerald. 1. The sleeve is different. 2. The colour of the cartridge is different. 3. When i start a new game, save, put off and on,and play the new file it says: 'The save file has been erased due to corruption or damage'!! :o But it has a nintendo-logo... |

You lucky ducks. D: I don't own any pirated games, unless you count the Diamond rom for the VBA of course. Oh, I'd love to get my hands on one.
:D But yeah. As a general rule of thumb, pirated Pokemon games will a) not have a colored cartridge, B) go out of their way to show the Nintendo Seal of Approval (like on the cartridge and stuff) and c) be mostly incapable of holding a save file. |

This reminded me of the really hilarious Gold and Silver my brother got when he was out of the country.. (he was looking for Diamond/Jade but didn't find them ;_;) http://racieb.ggmedia.us/etc/goldfront.jpg Notice it's for Game Color http://racieb.ggmedia.us/etc/goldback.jpg Doesn't look too suspicious, until you notice Pokémon is always written without the accent over the e, and "Introducing" is misspelled! http://racieb.ggmedia.us/etc/silverfront.jpg Same issue here... http://racieb.ggmedia.us/etc/silverback.jpg ...and here. Plus on this one, the print job is bad. Now, I mostly played the Gold version and it ended up having a totally different translation than Silver (which happened to be rather good.) I haven't uploaded all of the good screenshots I got when I replayed it, but here are some blurry older ones.. http://racieb.ggmedia.us/photos/tehPKMN.jpg take care teh PKMN http://racieb.ggmedia.us/photos/worm.jpg I like worm http://racieb.ggmedia.us/photos/CHEESEget.jpg Lucky CHEESE get (I always name male protagonists Lucky in games; CHEESE is Quick Claw) |

The bootleg copy of Gold and Silver has dialog that sounds suspiciously similar to the Crystal bootleg. I wonder if they're related? 'Lucky CHEESE get' is really funny xD |
