Two years ago, I noticed something in a Pakistan Shop. It was a box with tons of Pokémon and a big green diamond. It was "Pokémon Green Diamond". I HAD to buy it. I hoped that it actually was our lovely Power bootleg. The woman behind the counter didn't know much about it, but this is what she said: "Very good game, yes! Very good!" <- Very bad Norwegian I trusted her and bought the game. I ran home, grabbed the Gameboy Advance console and started it. I was shocked. It was a green clefairy and a big text saying "Green". O... K... I pressed start. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was a platform game with a green clefairy and very annoying music. The point of the game was 1. Don't die and 2. Gather lots of cake. The clefairy could shoot japanese text at its enemies if you pressed B. Right... I started to wonder what the game was bootlegged from. I met a blue clefairy and walked at it. I think I got an extra life or something. Suddently, the Clefairy turned into a Frog and walked away. "KeroKero Keroppi?" I thought. I won the whole game. Then I searched google for KeroKero Keroppi Games. Now I know that the game was a bootleg of a NES game. KeroKero Keroppis Great Big Adventure. They used a Rom Translator that made the NES rom into a GBA rom. I used to have a scan of the game box before I think my MSN.Groups.com site was deleted by MSN. I had all the info there. Including the instructions manual that had pictures of cars and babies. And, Rachie! I think I sent the box to you some years ago. Still have it? Ahahah :P Conclusion: The game was kinda addictive, but it sucked  Screenshot: ![]() ![]() Movie: (the music isn't from the game. It's just added) [click here] UPDATE 2!: I scanned the Green Diamond box. ![]()

On my summer vacation to the philippines, i played that game. too bad i couldn't play it too long. i was only sampling =P. there was also another game that involved a charmeleon pasted into a side scroller. And another game thats a type of a side scroller that has pikachu. It was easy. especially that you can float by pressing start and going anywhere without getting hurt =P |

Wow... it's the first time I've heard of this bootleg, but it sounds dumb. Well, other Pokémon bootlegs aren't much better... do you know if they hacked the ROM when they translated it?
I've heard of that last one before! Are you talking about this one here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DUr771FdZY |

I have heard of a number of different bootlegs that pirates put together from hacks of pokemon games that other people have made and released for free as ips patches like Zel's ShinyGold hack. |
| If I say that I am going to do something and I don't get around to it then please remind me. | |

They only hacked the sprite of KeroKero Keroppi, the title screen. There was no need for translation. No text. They also removed the intro xD |

very good
|
I remember that, you sent me the rom for it XD It was weird because it was an NES game ported to GBA and the resolution for the two is different, so you could switch the screen between squished or too tall with L and R I think.. |

This bootleg sounds just wrong on so many levels, but so are most bootlegs. And why is is always pokemon they bootleg? |

Because Pokémon is really popular. It's not like they don't bootleg other franchises, though... I've seen plenty of Mario bootlegs, for instance. |

That bootleg is hilarious! Full of all caps and Engrish! And the weirdest part is that the description sounds like it was meant for Yoshi's Island as opposed to Super Mario Bros. 3. Even then, though, they mess up a lot of stuff... |

I saw that [Green Diamond] on ebay a couple/few years ago. (Was trying to convince my mom to get it, but luckily we never ended up ordering it). Does it have one of those intros with random pics from the anime/random pictures? That seems to be way too common in these types of bootlegs. |
