yeah i chant. I was raised in christianity but now it completly doesn't i don't know....suits me anymore. And 3 years ago i found buddhist community that offered free chanting lessons, i thought "why not?" and i went there, they gave me mala beads and learned 3 different mantras and it really made me so peaceful! I've found many other mantras on internet and in books. Since then i chant every day. Chanting makes me very calm and it really works for me.

sounds cool! ive tried meditating but im not usually patient enough to just sit somewhere peacefully unless partially sedated >.< Its interesting to me personally because it seems like more of a spiritual thing than a religious thing. I don’t like the ties of religion personally but I like the balance of a peaceful mind state
