Sonic Lost World on PC?

Hey there it's been awhile. I hope this is the right place for this. Any way I recently got a new laptop. It has an i7 cpu 12 GB of ram and a nvdia GTX 970m. Any way I downloaded Sonic lost world on steam. I don't have a wii U and had never played it. It started up OK but it was not running that well. I then realized it was using my CPU's integrated graphics, and not my GTX GPU. I tried forceing the GPU but I only got sound and a black screen when I run the game. I can make the game playable if I go back to integrated graphics and turn the settings down, its just upsetting that I have a new PC that should exceed the recommended system requirements and I can't use it for that. by the way I ran the demo of Sonic Generations and that uses the GPU fine. It just seems to be Sonic Lost World. It seems to be a common problem for the game I just can't seem to find a solution.

So you've tried disabling the iGPU in your BIOS and then disabling it further in Device Manager, correct?

It works on my machine with the following specs:

Windows 10 Professional
Intel i5-4670k
16GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 1070
