well I know it's not fair, but life gets that way...you just learn to deal with it...in my house my dad quite literally yells "LALALALALALA!!!" like a three year old in arguments so he doesn't have to hear our side of things....

and the media is bad about all that..I mean everytime I look in the media it basically says " Drugs and sex good, being an individual bad"

Yea, I guess so. My father seems to avoid the question or have something negative to say. It seems like his views are behind a 5ft thick brick wall that you can't penetrate, and he ignores anything your talking about that isn't part of his interests, which is common for bigoted people.

Also, yea, the media seems to advertise drugs and alcohol quite abit, and because of this, these are two very common problems in society. It seems like they also want a "robot society" where everyone is similar in most ways...

Personally, my opinions, views, are very different that most peoples and society's because I am a very different kind of person. Heck, mainly things like my AS, OCD, depression, or any of my interests make me very different than vast majority of people in society already ^^;.

Relaxing, no?

Meh, pretty much a beer commercial, with the volume turned up.

Oh and ya, I understand the fitting-in part very well. People DO have the right to follow their own way in terms of style and such. I just haven't been seeing a lot of people, keeping true to themselves. I got a friend, who's uber-Revolution and stuff and gives out a lot of good information.

.....Which I still don't know where he gets it from.
EPIC MUCH.
...Oh, hello there.

Eh, just scourging for a decent-to-good RP. If you wanna RP or would like help on background bios for characters...or anything on characters...don't be afraid to ask, heh. (May not have all the answers, just to let those who do ask me stuff, know, heh.)
Will work for the sake of working.

yea my dad is an a-hole like that. I guess it just happens when you are a little different. I dun care though...I'll be done with him soon, and society will have to deal with me, and all my crazy ideas...lol

yea it's half the reason I hate rap...every song seems like it's about havin sex, money, or drugs....I can't stand the lyrics...rock gets that way too though...they tend to have break up songs...but I dun mind..I'm glad there is still stuff like "Working class hero" getting into the media...

Close you eyes, take a deep breath, and the ask yourself on simple question, "Is where I am where I should be?"

I pick myself up from the fall to be knocked back down, though I know one day when I get back up there will be nothing left to knock me down. The question is simply this, "Will there be anything left of me?"

Leave me the reins and I'll steer myself to infinty, I've sold my soul to darker side of divinty. I've prayed with the wicked and danced with the damned, but in the end it's all in your hand. Tell me how you lead the lamb astray, searching for somethign in the shadow of the day. I sang, I danced, and laughed, and played. Broken and beaten as my spirit would fade. take my gun, take my knife, but please if you could only just spare me my life? I wasted my time and mispronounced the line, you sold away my soul on the edge of a dime. <-------( random ryhming I just made up of the top of my head. )

Father touched you with the hand of god. He's gripping tighter saying, "You will burn in hell they say, you will burn in hell!"

Yea >_<.

Yea, and depsite people do have the right to do it obviously, most people will be insulted in some way or another for following some different way than the "norm", such as wearing a different style of clothing or have different hobbies and interests, etc. Some of these might come from the common insult stereotypes, such as "geek", "nerd", "dork", etc. But at least things are slightly changing and we are becoming more accepting to people being themselves, but this is a slow process, but we do see the progress such as "geek" is becoming more of a compliment in some ways these days when it comes to computers.

Yea, and most of my family has something negative to say, especially when I even slightly mention my atheism >_<. I wish I wasn't so insulted and put down in my life >_<. Also, me and my father is almost complete opposites so yea ^^;.

Also, I hate rap as well for that same reason because most of the lyrics are a prime example of the horrible problems with society and how they try to promote it. But there can be good songs and some even are about problems in our society, such as the song from "Green Day" called "American Idiot".

Well as far as I'm concerned society is getting alittle better, but not much...at my school being a nerd is an honor...we even have nerd fights at lunch...I mean we cast lighting spells on each other and shizz...lol

Green day always has good songs for society..."minority" " american idiot" and " Working class hero" are just a few...I mean seriously...why can't we have more greenday type lyrics in songs?

Yea, true but as I said, its a really slow process. But I am sure some things are changing that, such as the popularity of "World of Warcraft" and whatnot when it comes to that "nerd fight" thing you were talking about ^^;.

I guess but some do it also to fit in with their peers, like I am sure some, if not most, of them aren't even lesbians and just saying that to fit in with their friends. That is peer pressure, and not being yourself.

and you are very very extreamly much correct...my dad thinks I'm trying to fit into the crowd by pretending to be goth...and I'm like...dude...I'm not even close to goth...ppl call me poser emo and that doesn't even make sense to me...I'm weird I just do what comes to my head...and that's really it.

Meh, listening to A Dream by Common and Will.I.Am now. Songs, like these and of course Green Day, they're the type of music people should be listening to. Not because of the beat, or rhythm, but to the story behind them. Stories are powerful, when used correctly. I mean, no one wants to hear the same thing over and over again.

Yes, I mean you, Rap. Not all of it, but most of it. I think we get the Booze, Sex and Drugs cycle down already XP

I must add, that for the sake of society of the future, teach your children how to love, and not to judge.

~Thanks. ~_^

Haha, yeah.. How my mom raised me.. Well, she just teaches me about anything I really need to know, and really just lets me raise myself a little and be able to be by myself and stuff, make my own choices. By raising your child like that, they can take the hard hits and recover by themselves, and understand and learn from their mistakes, kinda like how I lived. :3

well I think if you give a kid more options then they won't feel as pressured to not screw up...the less options the more pressure to not lose what they have...and it gives them a chance to ready themselves for the real world....
