Actually, it's not that bad. It's only the odd word that is different. But, if you travel to the UK, and for some reason want to tell someone that you spent all day only wearing your pants - don't. In the UK, the word "pants" means underpants. So, everyone will think you walked around only in your underwear. lol I mention that now because it's the most embarrising mistake you can make. |

lol. Here's a small list of words and their English equivilent: American = English Pants = Trousers Underpants = Pants (or underpants)/Boxers/Underwear Counter clockwise = Anti-clockwise Candy = Sweets French fries = French fries/Chips (french fries are thinner than chips and you only really get them in fast food resturants (SP?)) Principle = Head Master/Mistress I'll add more when I think of them. |
