As fans of the band, like me, noticed several months ago that Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland left the band to rejoin Stone Temple Pilots, leaving the band without a vocalist. Several rumors popped up since then who it may be, with vocalists such as ex-Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar, Lenny Kravitz, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and even former Guns N' Roses member, Izzy Stradlin! we know by now that Chester Bennington, would not be leaving Linkin Park to join the band, saying he would feel uncomfortable in the band due to also being friends with Weiland. Which is a shame for me because Chester was my favorite to become the bands singer D= Lenny Kravitz has also recently denied that he's in talks with them. Drummer Matt Sorum recently said in an interview that they are in talks with a new lead singer, but no names are released yet. There are also also talks of a possible Guns N' Roses reunion(YAY!), with the original lineup of Axl Rose (vocals), Slash (guitar), Duff McKagen (bass), and Matt Sorum (drums). In your opinion, who do you think should get the position? I myself, think a Guns N' Roses reunion would be amazing. I'd give up anything to see that happen, unfortunatly it seems very unlikely that Axl would become the permenant frontman taking of the bands relationships in the past. It would probably be a one-time-only tour thing, but I would LOVE for the original lineup of Guns to get back together. Chester Bennington of Linkin Park is also a favorite of mine to join, but he already denied joining the band. I wish he would reconsider, as Chester and Slash working together was amazing at Camp Freddy and I'd kill to see it all again =D Tyler Connolly from Theory of a Deadman would also be a very good pick. I think this guy has an amazing voice, and would be very good for the band IMO Rob Zombie. Yes, I said Rob Zombie. I think he would be EPIC in Velvet Revolver, and I actually see this as a possibility. If Zombie became the frontman, I think it would be awesome to see what they could do with him(honestly, think of the chemistry). And it would really jumpstart Zombie too after he seems to have fallen in popularity as of late. I like the idea of Izzy Stradlin joining the band too, his voice is great for the band and it would just be awesome to see Izzy in the band, after seemingly just disapearing off the face of the earth since leaving Guns N' Roses. Joining VR shortly in 2002, leaving and disapearing again. He hasn't exactly been the most active, but now would be perfect for him to return and join shock everyone. Discussion of this matter is welcome, and post your ideas and favorites of who the new singer might be ^^ |

It would be pretty cool if Izzy Stradlin was the new lead singer for Velvet Revolver but will he another guitarist along with Dave Kushner and Slash. Maybe Chris Cornell former singer from Soundgarden might be a good new lead singer or maybe Mike Patton from Faith No More. |
