Well, I didnīt go into my Chao Garden for about two weeks, and when I entered, I noticed that some of my baby Chao have grown up, and all of my Chao were hungry. Long story short, time has progressed even when I was outside SADX (PC version). Can anyone help me solving this? Please? ^^; BEFORE YOU REPLY, PLEASE READ THIS: NO, THE GAME IS NOT RUNNING WHILE I AM DOING SOMETHING ELSE ON MY COMPUTER. YES, I AM ABSOLUTELY EFFING SURE ABOUT THAT. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THE GAME IS RUNNING WHILE I AM DOING SOMETHING ELSE. STOP ASKING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THANK YOU. |

That's strange, chao gardens are supposed to freeze when you go outside the chao garden. I have no clue what to do buddy. Sorry but this has never happened to me. |

Maybe someone launched the game and ran it while you were not looking? |

No, thatīs impossible. Only me and mom are using the computer and mom canīt launch SADX. She doesnīt even know where it is. Even if somebody would do that, there wouldnīt have been enough time for two baby Chao to evolve. |

Hate to say it, but I've had a somewhat similar situation on a totally unrelated game once, and the solution wasn't good. One of my GBC games once got to where the game clock wouldn't progress unless the game was turned on when it was supposed to just keep going even when the power was off. (So I guess it was the exact opposite of your problem?) Anyways, it couldn't be fixed because it was just the first signs of the game cartridge going corrupt and Nintendo didn't fix GBC games anymore. So, the only thing to do was to trash it. (And it was my favorite game, too! :TailsSad: ) Still, I would doubt that the same, or rather the exact opposite, problem with my GBC game would explain anything about your PC version of SADX. I'm not even sure why I brought it up now. I just hope that whatever the problem is, it doesn't end up with the same conclusion as mine did! |

I turn it off. But the time should freeze even if Iīd put the PC into hibernate, shouldnīt it? |

Nope in hibernation everything just keeps on going. All programs keep on working until you get back and give new orders. But did you ever started SADX and then put your pc into hibernation? |

The Chao Garden time goes OUTSIDE the game. It means it goes when I AM NOT RUNNING THE DARN GAME. -.-; |

Are you absolutely sure that there was never a time when you were playing the game, then got sidetracked for a long period of time and forgot to close the game? It could just be multiple instances of this exact thing in which you immediately closed the game upon your return without checking on the Chao garden until just recently. I'll do this all the time on my computer, start up a game, get sidetracked answering e-mails or something else, and be ready to leave my computer when I notice after closing my browser window that the game is still running even though it's been a good couple of hours! Those kinds of things could add up eventually to give you your current problem. |

It's OK, no harm intended, no harm done. I understood what you meant the whole time. I only wanted to double check with you to make sure it wasn't just some innocent mistake or something that was causing your problem, mostly because if time does pass in your Chao garden while the game is NOT active, then it probably means something about the game is greatly screwed up and it probably can't be fixed. (Or at least you would need to talk to a professional that knows the programming of the actual Chao garden clock to see if they could help. I'm officially just as stumped as you are!) Sorry, I'm not much help... :tdissatisfied09: |

Like I said, it's fine. Whenever my favorite GBA game that I was talking about went bad, I got really mad, too. It was Pokemon Crystal Version (in my opinion the best one of them all period), and I had logged insane amounts of time on the thing. My team was all at level 100's (the hard way, no rare candies here!), and, trust me, they were almost literally invincible! But, since the game was busted and couldn't be fixed, I had to pawn off all that pride and hard work at a Game-X-Change for *sob*... $5... :TailsSad: (dissolves into neverending tears of greif) I honestly, seriously, truely hope that your problem can be solved in a better way than mine ended! If not, we can start a support group together for people whose lives have been devasted by broken video games. |
