Ooh, what is luck? What an interesting question. :]

I think luck is merely the probability of several outcomes, where the outcomes depend on certain factors. Like, if you take a little circular board and spun a thing to make it land on a certain outcome. When there is more of the same outcome, the probability of landing on that outcome would be higher than it would be for other outcomes that do not have duplicates. Factors in luck would be things like skill, persistence, or background knowledge.

Luck is either something that is extremely difficult to control, or it could be manipulated depending on those certain factors. We've all played Mario Party, haven't we? When you're playing on the board and push a button to stop the dice on a certain number so you can move that many spaces on the board, you can probably manipulate it to be a 10 if your eye catches, per se, the 1 on the dice, and you know to press the button a fraction of a second later to make it land on 10. That would probably take a little skill and some focus. Most people would say things like that depend on pure luck, but I think luck CAN be manipulated depending on some factors and what routes you take in life. :]

I really hope that made sense. D:

Ooooh great example! I remember playing Mario Party and sometimes getting a 10 when I focused on it. ^.^

I also think that's a good definition of luck. :3
