Augie's Notes: The downtime of summer and the slowing economy has started to show again as the industry saw a 10% decrease in sales from June 2010, with Wii game sales being blamed partly for the downage. Game and system sales are expected to be slow for quite a while now. Xbox 360 once again was the top system and the only system to grow in sales VS last June, now at the top for the 12th month out of the last 13, bringing 360 closer to Wii in Total Sales. The 3DS continues to see low sales due to not so good games, but Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D did see impressive sales coming in at 2nd place amoung single console sales. Sony's InFamous 2 launched at the top spot of single console sales. Duke Nukem forever, dispite bad reviews and parents finding out about it's content, came in 2nd place overall. It still came up short of LA Noire which holds the top spot for the 2nd month in a row.

Predictions for Rest of summer: More of the same, but expect Star Fox 64 3D to help 3DS game sales when it comes out in September, but not really sell systems.
