A great month for the industry as software sales combined with Black Friday and Christmas shopping led to the biggest November for the industery, although growth overall was flat. Software sales were up 16% compared to last Nov, while console sales dropped 9%. That did not stop all 3 home consoles from claiming record sales for Black Friday, aided by value bundles that come with that time of year. Wii was sold at $99 for the first time ever (for that weekend only), same with Xbox 360 and PS3 dropping to never before seen pricing. November saw the release of many new games with MW3, BF3, and Skyrim leading the way. Sony saw a huge sales boost from Uncharted 3, the highest selling new game only sold on 1 console. Zelda Skyward was not far behind though, breaking franchise records for initial sales. Mario 3D land also saw 625K units sold, a new portable franchise record for first months sales, but it, Mario and Sonic 2012 and Sonic Generations failed to make the top 10. Halo 1 rerelease also saw great sale and was close to making it to the top 10. For years end, expect Xbox 360 to sweep 2012, and secure the annual sales win in the USA.
