Hey everyone,

Just an FYI that I am replacing my original launch batch wii system with a black Wii without GameCube compatibility tonight, the original Wiis disc drive broke last night an hour into Zelda Skyward Sword gameplay, spindle got so loud but I was able to resuce the disc without it being damaged.

My timeline series is on hold indefinitely until I can get my old GameCube out of storage.

Eee?

why not buy old wii (one that has gamecube controllers ports).
if needed, you can buy used one. (not everything has to be new) :T8:

True, you can be scammed too easily with them online! If you can find one at a store, it is usually a bit harder to loose your $.

I actually bought my wii used. I was 2 weeks used, and guy didn't like it, so he sold it at lower price than in stores. I modded it, and for 3 years that I have it, I haven't have a single problem with it.

My Avatar is a TARDIS. The TARDIS is cool.

I heard about this when you told me about it on Steam. It is not good news for me. My Wii is almost five years old, and I've just recently started turning it on again. (Team Fortress 2 will do that to you.) The first thing that greeted me was a fan that's louder than the one in my old PS2. It still runs okay, but it's been struggling with Kirby Air Ride all weekend. I never had a GameCube, so this replacement is not good news for me at all if my console bites the dust.
