Normally I always like to talk about good things about Nintendo, but today is not that kind of a day. Nintendo today announced a budget priced Wii 1 at $99 that they are calling the Wii Mini. The Mini black and red, and comes with a Red Wiimote, is smaller than how long the Wiimote is, just big enough for a disc to be in it, and is exclusivly for Wii 1 disc based games, with NO INTERNET ACCESS. :DTFurious:

The Wii Mini launches in Canada on Dec 7th.

Oh well, at least Nintendo also rewarded fans with a free DLC pack in NSMB2...

I don't understand why you view this as something so negative. Think about all the people who are going to (and are already) storm all the stores, looking for the perfect gift. This seems like the ideal present with an affordable price. Nintendo jumping the shark by announcing a miniature version of the Wii? That sounds like a good thing, in my opinion.

You seem to be angry about how the Wii Mini lacks internet access. Not everybody plays games online, you know. In fact, I exclusively play games offline. There's no pressure of competition and you're able to play your games at whatever rate you'd like to. We all play our games differently, offline being one.

All of those are good reasons and I agree with them. But I'm on the side of online play so that's why the reaction.
