Is poker a sport?

Just like all other sports you can watch it on TV and play it in real life, but the question is, do you think poker qualifies as an actual sport?

I suppose the answer depends on the person's opinion on what a sport really is. See, by my definition, I consider a sport that excercises the physical parts of the body, such as the arms or legs. Poker, in a way, excercises the mind. So by my definition, poker is not a sport.

This is my favorite store on the Citadel.

I think a sport can be just about anything where two people compete in some sort of structured league.

Nah! Poker's a card game, not a sport. Now golf, THAT'S a sport...

I agree with FrankT about poker being a card game, not a sport. That doesn't take anything away from poker, it is a game of great skill and tactics, however I don't believe it can be called a sport.
