Stuck on a hard game? Type in the Konami Code, who knows if it will do you something special!

The code, up up down down left right left right B A, is the most well known cheat code in gaming to the point that it got a name for itself. It sometimes doesn't just appear in Konami games, but in non-Konami games and even as references on TV, internet... anywhere you can name.

For example, I just wondered what will happen if I typed the Konami Code on the Plants vs. Zombies screen. As I press A, pop sound is heard, but that's it. I ponder what it actually does!

Rocket Knight Adventures is a Konami game, but I ponder what happens when the code is typed.

I'm shocked no one replied to this!

Yeah, I've used that code before. It's quite handy! I did try for one Konami game (I forgot which one) and it didn't work! It was an NES game too. I was disappointed that it didn't work.

Oh yes and there's a reference to the code in Wreck It Ralph.

Dancing at the moment, please leave a message

Hmm, I remember Sonic 1 having that for level select (though they added X + Start). I think Vectorman might've used it, too...

So what games put this code to use?
Contra is the most famous one. Most Konami games that were released on the NES back in the late 80s and early 90s.

Wreck it Ralph, the king of the candy land uses it to enter a secret area in the 2nd half of the movie.

No it isn't the level select code for Sonic 1. It's up down left right...

The actual Konami code is up up down down left right left right B A. Its spread everywhere... however, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos game is a Konami made one and... where's my code's effect?
